Thank you, a very interesting video - i'm always curios about the business behind this format. In the YT-video it looks easy and fun, but behind the scenes, you have to spend a lot of time for planning, training, editing and ... it seems like that ... driving from a to b. I wonder how much work goes into a bigger expedition/climb outside the common regions/countries. Cant imagine the pressure behind a big project, which has to be a success because of the time, efford and money you spend in. So...thanks!
@WideBoyz2 жыл бұрын
The time behind running a youtube channel is more than anyone thinks before they actually start (i know Magnus has always emphasised this point when I've seen his interviews). Planning, organising people, filming, editing, thumbnails, downloading, uploading, descriptions, sponsors, etc etc. These days I put equal amounts of effort and dedication into The Wide Boyz business as a whole and my passion as a climber. As for bigger trips there is always a time pressure, but I always try and prepare for that time pressure by doing the right amount of training. If I'm ready and i still fail...well that's ok, I just have to train harder and get better. But if I'm not ready and i fail...then I'd be very disappointed in myself.

I started the yotube channel solo, filming and editing, so it would be possible to carry on in this fashion. As a powerlifter/strongman who started climbing about a year ago, I am happy to help clarify any strongman questions. For the record, strongmen pull almost any vehicle. One of the cool things about strongman is that the events are incredibly varied. A competition could include natural stone lifts, atlas stones like what Pete did, log presses, and more niche things like “fingals fingers”, power stairs, etc. or none of it, and at any weight. Love ya, Pete! And I love Dan. Keep up the good work, and know that when you see a pair of crack gloves headed to Idaho, they’re for me!
