Sarah has what I feel to be the most beautiful voice in the world. Perhaps not the best technique, but the most beautiful voice. She actually uses 4 different singing styles/voices in her career. What you hear here in this performance is her pure head-voice pop voice. She sings in a pop fashion with a fuller voice like in "Whiter shade of pale". Also check out her musical theatre voice, like you would hear when she sings "whistle down the wind". It's a fuller version of her pure head voice. Then, Sarah has her operatic voice. Check out her "Nessun Dorma", or "La Luna". Four voices, four styles...Sarah is truly an astounding singer. Also, what is this about opera being boring? LoL. Opera is a huge genre, it would be like saying pop music is boring. You can say you find certain songs boring, or even certain singers...but to say a whole genre is boring, is....well, narrow-minded. Operas are basically musical plays that are almost entirely sung. So it's technically not opera in general you find boring, but perhaps certain stories/librettos, or certain songs/arias.

Sarah is a legend and musical genius. Super happy seeing you both reacting to her and it totally made my day 😊 I still remember listening to Sarah as a kid in the 90s. My dad was watching the opera and Sarah was on. She also did events during Christmas time. I'll be seeing her in 2 weeks for the first time and can imagine all the nostalgia already lol

This song is from the Harem album. I saw the original show when it was released (2003). She had a massive hookah in the stadium and dancers like this show. The whole stadium was decorated as an Arabian tent. It was absolutely mesmerizing. Sarah was the original singer of Phantom of the Opera. She may be one of the most beautiful singers ever. Sarah was always a total diva ;) Technically, she is not an opera singer. She sings operettas and musicals. She was married to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Another great performance is the song Running Another singer you would enjoy is Dianne (van Giersberg). She is a metal singer but sings in a classical operatic voice. Listen to her song Symphonic Tragedy. It's stunning.

💯! It’s annoying when they classify her as an opera singer. She is not. Nor has she ever claimed to be. So people hold her to those types of standards. And accompanying prejudices. She is just herself. People also describe her (negatively) as a diva though. In truth, she’s really rather humble. And she keeps away from the news and drama.

This was March 2004. Her live performances are almost always better than the recordings. You should react to It’s A Beautiful Day from this show. It’s incredible as she switches from her classical voice to her chest voice.
