Of course, by the same token, one would argue this is the purpose of Nasheed, it is to reprogram you this way. I once asked a Syrian pal, what was the difference between magic, and what King Solomon did. I suppose, one might say, the difference is the same as between what is called "music" and between a Nasheed, they is both technically "music" but where does one come from, and where does it bring you towards. I think the important thing to remember is Shaitan can not create, but only pervert what is beautiful and natural, for those that may be confused. And so, like even in the Christian Bible there is mention of both a roaring lion, and the morningstar twice, once for the devil, and once for Jesus (who they call "the son of God and part of the triumvirate" but I'm not going to get into that) the point being, that one is being an imposter. I don't remember where I read it from but I once saw something that always stuck with me, "when you're alone in the desert, the voice of God and the voice of the devil sound nearly the same." But, key note--nearly. And so likewise, it, that Thing down below, is trying to become an imposter as to trick you, and so likewise is always trying to trick its servants into being servants of wickedness while believing themselves servants of good and servants of righteousness and servants of the light. It is part of why one must be fearful of hypocrisy, of shirk, of being munifiqun, of doing good deeds out purity and love for God first, then love for one's fellow man as His creations. The worst of these obviously being secular society, which has taken every manner of thing and so perverted it, one might be tempted to call all things evil, when I realized it is not money itself that is evil, a broke man who can not provide for his family also is not being good, but love of money that is evil, likewise a man should find a wife and reproduce, but the way secular society glorifies zina is evil. I think, that likewise for auditory frequencies, that it is the same. Thank you.

I stopped listening to music automatically in my home about 12-13 years ago. And just recently in the last 2 years barely listen to it in my car. Music has left my life by the will of Allah. It is not something I had to give up. Allah filled my mind with so many more important tasks that music became white noise that was not needed and a major disturbance. Now all I listen to are podcasts and lectures on Islam. May Allah make the path easy for the ummah.

I studied music for years and became an audio technician (I left all that alhamdulillah) Everything he said about frequencies reaffirms everything I studied and discovered from reputable sound engineers. I won't mention what frequencies do what. A lot of mainstream songs use the exact same note progression (4 chord progression) because of a certain feeling they want to achieve. They just change the scale and it sounds different but brings out the same feeling regardless. In cinema, music and video editing are also known as emotional manipulation tools. It's all about swaying your emotions during the movie. If you mute the movie it's super boring all of a sudden.

This is one problem with evangelical Christianity. There is so much music used as worship that the people doing it get high on the emotions it evokes. Then they tell themselves it’s the Holy Spirit making them feel that way. Then they get more excited and all reason is gone, out the window and they just get deeper and deeper into their misguidance. Alhamdulillah for Islam.

You're risking your whole akhira by declaring ALL music haram. "Let those who claim that all music is prohibited also claim the songs of birds is also prohibited" -Al Ghazzali-. Some of our greatest scholars were musicians and the first scholarly works on music and notes were made by Muslim scholars. Only the uneducated in this Deen believe ALL music is haram. It's only haram when the content is, and THAT is the mainstream opinion in Islam and always have been. Why do you think no Muslim countries serves pork but everyone still makes their cultural music? Yes even Saudi Arabia. If it was haram, music in the Muslim Ummah would of have been banned a long time ago.

One of the best explanation about music.
@KX5Kat3 ай бұрын
You could say the same about anything else that influences your emotions such as paintings, movies or even nature. Music, furthermore, is rhythm, harmony and melody. When a bird tweets, that’s music as it’s a melody. Your washing machine is using rhythm. Lyrics are technically not part of music, so you also can’t make the argument that music is bad because of the lyrics. Staying away from music is the safest choice, but I don’t think there’s much of an argument to interpret it as haram.

Music is a nature's gift to humankind just like the food, love, laughter, sex or road trip. We are born to live and have fun not to live and constantly prepare & educate ourselves, non-stop, for the day when we gonna die. If you prefer the endless grooming & preparing yourself for your final death day - than do just that 'DIE' why wait 20, 30 or 50 years. Be gone & stop this religious non-sense. The most deaths & suffering in the world have been done in the name of RELIGION not in the name of music or sex.

@AfifaAmbreen-t1d3 ай бұрын
If you want a proof about music being haram and why, then please try to learn the origin of it. You'll find a few islamic lectures on it. And if you're someone who listens to music then you may have noticed how a hyped beat gets you hyped up too, or of it's an emotional music then how it gets to your emotions, if it's an aggressive music then how it has a similar impact on you. Also, whether or not you have come across this, but sound has frequencies in many variations that creates vibrations in different patterns. If you want to look it up, you'll find that too here on KZbin. Scientific experiments that show us an actual representation of those vibrations. You too seem to be a Muslim, so you must have seen alot of scenarios that Islam and the glorious Qur'an has, being scientifically proven.

If music is haram, then sound is haram as well. But, sound can’t be haram since we were equipped with ears by our creator, otherwise we wouldn’t have any. Music is rather the art of mastering sound, and sound is physics, it’s vibrations and waves. We cannot say ”sound is haram”, in that case, you’re rejecting your own reason. All sound impact your mood, so does the holy Qur’an. In Qur’an recitation you have different maqam (scales) that impact your mood as well, so your statement is false, logically. If we wan’t to evaluate and categorize music, the question is rather; what sound does impact us in a negative manner, and thus, what sounds and music should then be avoided? You can not forbid what God created- sound. It’s not same listening to a singing bird as listening to a hammer slamming a stone, one is pleasant and the other harmful. Anyhow, I can agree that there is a lot of crap music out there, but novice scholars as well.

Wallahi music is so addictive to the point that it becomes useless, our brains and bodies get an unhealthy source of dopamine that rottens our brains and doesn't let us think wisely or behave normally anymore. And what makes music so dangerous, it's that this addiction is hidden and is something that u wouldn't call addiction, because it has been so normalised within muslim countries and their societies. everywhere u go nowadays u will hear music in stores, cafe's or public transport, from people's phones or as background sound in shows or videos. We must protect ourselves and remember that leaving the haram for the halal is beyond important. Fight the nafs and Inshallah May Allah swt reward us for our efforts, ameen.
