Between the tides around the Inner Forth in Scotland, the team discovers a harbor that served as Scotland's first whisky distillery.
---
Every day, on a sandy beach or a rocky foreshore, fascinating historical evidence appears and disappears as the tide rolls in and rolls back out again across the British coastline. Palaeontologist Dr. Tori Herridge and experts from CITiZAN (the Coastal & Inter-tidal Archaeological Network) investigate the stories behind these intriguing remains. From abandoned villages, prehistoric footprints, shipwrecks, and submerged forests, we follow the clues to how people have survived on the coast and how they’ve learned to live alongside the sea. It is an archaeological race against time as Shoreline Detectives battle to capture a vanishing past for us all to see.

I just found this series uploaded to KZbin, so much thanks! I wear headphones when watching to better understand some of the accents (I live in California). I must agree with another commentator that the sound mix in this and several other uploads is very uneven. The constant background musical soundtrack is simply too load and often obscures the narration. I know that this is a trend in a lot of documentary presentations these days, but it does become more than a bit irritating. I do look forward to viewing more episodes in this series. I am amazed that nobody here in the States, has attempted to produce a similar series. Hats off to you!

I really like this channel but the music with the voices makes it too annoying to watch. Get rid of the music.

The moat pit was not a product of "Tudor engineering". Scotland was not ruled by the house of Tudor.

Interesting but spoiled in places by intrusive music drowning out the commentary and rendering some of it unintelligible. Bits without music are enjoyable

This is driving me nuts. It's pronounced, 'Coo-rus'. Unsure why an expert in 'archaeology' and an 'academic' wouldn't take the time to investigate how to actually say it properly. Sign of the times, I guess. Leads me to question their nounce. Also, 'whiskey' is an Americanism. It's 'Whisky'. besides that why do Scots constantly get subjected to posh English telling us about our own history? Nepos, but hey they've got the money and means to do it.

That goulish story has nothing todo with the theme of your video. That you included it is evidence that you still find these grotesque delusions interesting and enjoy cringing at the consequences just like they did back then. And the wronged woman etc. etc. You have to decide perhaps whether you are presenting sociology or archaeology. Fantasies of the past about women oppresion is not archaeology and a totaly unpleasant subject created by religious obcessions.Religions are obsessive illustion factories.
