The Eurofighter is more expensive than the F-35 to purchase, but cheaper to maintain because it is not a 5th Generation Stealth fighter. Europe needed to sell these planes to keep production open. They were about to close production before the Türkiye aircraft. It is comparable to Rafael, F-18, F-15, Gripen, SU 35 and SU57.

I don't understand to why turkey needed a foreign fighter jets while they produce them own jers KAAN, does it mean whatever they have is not of good quality nor they doubt themselves.

Yes, Tur'key cud learn from F16V upgrades n same upgrades they cud do later on KAAN lol

KAAN is still in the prototype and testing phase. It needs another 4 - 5 years before mass production can start. You need modern planes that can fill the gap until that time. This is where jets like the eurofighter and upgraded F-16 jets can do the job till KAAN becomes availble.

F35 and F16V wud hav been a lethal combo with much less cost. Maintenace infrastructure wud hav been same. Typhoon wud need a totally different infrastructure. 😇
