absolutely brilliant - your virtual interpretation of John Rutter's masterpiece is both lucid and excruciating, it sounds like the psalmody of an ancient testamentary prophet crying out in the wilderness of the Holocaust variations from Auschwitz, Hiroshima, Vietnam, Iraq, Palestine, Tibet, to Kyiv - the places of war crime where tyrants, demagogues, dictators, foxes in henhouses, and other wolves dressed in sheep's clothing relentlessly persecute the defenseless ones they were supposed to protect, yes, pray for Ukraine, like all the disenfranchised ones, they perhaps need our prayer more than others as they acknowledge that singing well is praying twice, something St. Benedict who loved Gregorian hymns intuitively knew more than a thousand years ago - Dr. Michael Spangenberg

Incredibly beautiful and heart rending - thank you. I have never been to Ukraine and nor do I know any Ukrainian people (my loss), but the reduction of a peaceful nation with so much going for it to a brutalised wasteland in a few short weeks - and the suffering inflicted upon its people - is horrific beyond words.
