I can't vouch for Class of 1999 2, since I didn't know it existed until RLM failed to watch it on a broken VHS, but the original Class of 1999 is on KZbin in its entirety, and it may be one of my favorite bad movies. Totally worth checking out. Basic synopsis is that American schools have become entirely run by teenage gangs, so a school attempts an experiment with undercover robotic teachers to reign in the students. And then the robots go crazy and it turns out they're actually military grade combat machines with flamethrowers and rockets.

that's actually sounds like a really excellent idea for a movie. you could have Paul verhoven direct a remake. he could use something to redeem himself after showgirls. I'm imagining a bunch of crazy ivy league type, feminist, communist, nihilistic professors teaching out of control students who completely don't give a sh.t about any of their lofty ideals and politics

You've got a bunch of pierced, drug-addicted, gang member students that look like they robbed a Hot Topic and three new teachers who look like stereotypical professors. Strong female character that looks like a modern psychiatrist, GI Joe - looking PE coach, and an old gent in a elbow-padded tweed coat with a pipe. The students all drive around in Mad Max style Cadillac looking vehicles and have to turn in their guns before school. It's as ridiculous an interpretation of "we're losing our youth" as you can get, and it's great. Malcom McDowell plays the principal and Stacy Keech is some weird scientist with white eyes and a rat-tail mullet. I won't say it's a good movie, but it's a great "bad" movie to put on with friends.

@@qweqqweq2090 All right, to hell with KZbin. Tried twice to link to the trailer and movie on the site, but KZbin blocks it's own video code. Anyway, if you search for Class of 1999, there's an option to buy or rent the movie, immediately followed by a full upload of the movie for free.

oh man, robot jox! I remember that one, I actually saw it when I was around ten years old! I just remember feeling like really conflicted and confused about that movie cause I was so close to really, really, really liking it and yet I didn't. I think it was a film meant to teach ten year old males about depression and the meaningless of life or something. that's maybe what I got out of it. I'm not sure to this day. I'm afraid to rewatch it and find out it's even worse than I remember.
