in my family i have always had my stocking in my room and I open it alone in my room to buy my parents time before I woke them because I was too excited. I'm 30 and this is one of my favorite thongs about Christmas still as I never left home due to disability. it still feels magical. even though I am completely fine waiting for my parents to be ready to unwrap on their own time now I still adore opening my stocking then going to look at the presents under the tree, it still feels the same as when I was a kid
