I am reading Dracul now and I have to say that it is so good. Thank you for not giving the ending away. I had never read Dracula and purchased the book online. I never knew that Bram Stoker put so many different versions of Dracula out. That is so amazing. I would love them to find all of the first editions and then maybe we will get the completed version of Dracula.

Watching this 11 months later and I have been binging your blogs the past couple days. Your cozy videos are comfort during these last couple of days for me. Your talk about Dracul by Dacre Stoker has got me intrigued. When I was on my High School newspaper staff for the October issue, I wrote an article on Vlad Dracul and Dracula, but this is interesting that Dracula wasn't inspired by Vlad the Impaler. I have read Dracul and found it amazing. And because of this, and your previous Dark Academia book list, I would recommend you to read The Historian by Elisabeth Kostova. It. Is. Incredible. Arsenic and Old Lace is an 1944 black comedy with Cary Grant and it takes place on Halloween. It's SO zany. It revolves around the 2 Brewster spinsters who take single, lonely men into their Brooklyn home and they kill them after they've given them elderberry wine laced with poison. Martha & Abby think they are doing these men a service, a charity b/c they are, well, INSANE. Hijinks ensure alllll throughout the Frank Capra film (all his movies are terrific!). There's more zany stuff going on, like a character who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt and a maniac whose plastic surgery was botched so bad he's mistaken to be Boris Karloff as the Creature. Cary Grant navigating all of this craziness is hilarious. A real gem of a movie (& originally stage play). Loooove your videos!

Baking trick: you can crack an egg into a bowl and if you don’t break the yolk (and you don’t mind getting egg on your hand) you can just pick the yolk up with your hand. You can also use an empty plastic water bottle to suck the yolk up and there are kitchen gadgets you can buy that do the same thing!

I just watched your video from yesterday and when you said you wanted to know what I did for Halloween I got really excited to share with you what I did and basically what I do every year. I made a huge vat of chicken dumpling soup because this is what my grandma would do every year on Halloween. I then watched the movies Young Frankenstein and Hocus Pocus.
