Deep meaning on that song. Mental Health is real. "Fire Away" meaning don't hurt yourself, use me as your outlet for any depression or issues. Please God don't hurt yourself. Reach out to someone and stay well. I'd say the same thing to anyone. ... Fire away on me with any issues. Take your best shot and let it rip.

We were ... as old...he was a great father and a civil engineer and one of my best friends. After 1,5 years home as a result of a burnout he slid into a depression, no way of holding on, or catching him. We burried him 2 weeks ago... I lost a friend, which is very sad but ...someone else lost a husband and a father...THAT is devastating. I’m a huge Chris Stapleton fan so I think I’ve watched just about every reaction video out there on his music. It’s funny, the men who react to this song say “she was depressed“ or “suicidal”, but the women reactors say “she was bi-polar” (which is correct). It goes to show you how important videos with this kind of message are. Maybe if just one person recognizes this behavior in their partner this video will have done its job. Great reaction & insight.
@daeclipse033 жыл бұрын
yep I dealt with that for years with an ex who also was bi-polar and had a severe drinking problem. Hardest part of my life and sadly the girl I loved by far the most in my life.

I'm male and the opening few lines of the song in combination with the jumping on the bed made me start to suspect and after the party scene I was about 80% she was bipolar. What gets me is how many woman suspect abuse when the man does absolutely nothing to cause suspicion. Have we reached the point where simply being male makes you suspected of abuse?

I think you hit it right on the head with mental health/bi-polar, etc. My mother died when I was seven and she suffered many of the same things as this person did...including alcoholism.. it was never discussed openly in our family... a couple years ago I was diagnosed with bi-polar and an older brother has as well as a son...we are coming to realize that obviously she was too although my father wasn't educated enough to understand... this is so sad especially when someone is suffering alone... it makes me cry very deeply each time I watch someone react to it... thank you.

I've lost so many friends to suicide. I have bipolar, cptsd, generalised anxiety & severe clinical depression. I struggle every day to drag myself out of bed, to find any sort of meaning in the day. Having lost friends to other reasons also hurts. But I've got a great doctor & therapist & I'll take myself out to the garden & water my plants or play with my cats. Some days are ok, some days are good, some days are awful but if I'm not here I'll never know what the next day will bring. One step at a time, one hour at a time sometimes after watching 2 very close friends lose their battle with cancer. There is help, you're not a burden, people want to help so just let them in. No shame in it. There's a song I've been taking solace in from the beste zangers show with Floor Jansen singing "winner". Watch it, raise your hands
