I get why this was emotional for Kevin. When all you've seen from people for the majority of your life is betrayal after betrayal and zero shits given for you on a human level, it's overwhelming when a genuine act of kindness comes your way that you can't attribute to anything other than someone doing something nice for you. As Men this doesn't happen often for us, so do us a favour and don't judge when it hits us for six emotionally.

I don't agree. This is a human experience, and most of us can relate regardless, because most people have one, or even several loves in their life that just bring pure joy to them. Something they can put themselves into. Like a cook or chef being gifted a set of hand pounded and folded knives, a gear head being gifted a built or restored car or bike, or a pool player being gifted a custom made cue. It's the love of the experience (cooking, driving or mechanics, playing pool, in this case playing music) coupled with the appreciation of someone else's experience, in these cases the love for designing and building of guitars, and then having that gift shared with you. Appreciating the work put in, and the love that was given with that gift. It works for anything, not just instruments.

Right on man! I’ve been watching your videos for, I think, about 12 years. Just like you, time caught up to me and I’m just getting back into guitar playing again, and this is amazing see two collaborators who started out just sharing metal guitar videos connect and live the dream. Keep jamming the fuck outta those guitars man!

it needs like a nice "we've made it" on the trem cap. that's the first thing i thought. i remember watching your shit in 240p in 08 and was like "woah, this dude is a monster". in the last like year i found you're the farthest from it. its like pitbulls, they have a bad wrap of being mean just like bodybuilders but the true ones are more of a softeee then most people. keep it up man, james hetfield is probably sweating from trying to keep up with your downpicking l,,l

what's funny is people assume by looks, but it's because they don't know the discipline it takes to achieve these types of goals and people that have that kind of discipline are, well, have you ever talked to Chuck Liddell? He's from around here...he's chill af. If anything, discipline will give you a more even temperament that modulates any situation you're in, rather than being this object that somehow solves some problems. Point is, you have to focus huge amounts of spiritual, emotional, and physical effort to do some things and when people walk themselves through those crucibles they not only get an awareness of agony but what it means to a human and that it happens to ALL humans even if they have good game face. It's not just about discipline, it's not just about moments of clarity, it's not just about experience as a raw function of time. Most people walking around can look in your face and maybe feel some of it, but if you are awake and convulsing on the ground...and then you see someone enduring the same horror...it's not even empathy at that point, it's your own body vomiting up its own level of agonizing baggage which may or may not be purged - can one purge one's own brain and continue to human along with the rest? The problem in trying to create the image in people's heads who have not pushed themselves (or be subjected/committed to without your consent and you survive it) into those areas of the psyche, that honestly, most first world people have the luxury of not developing, ignoring, whatever that piece is inside of you that learns, grows, and evolves in response to your need to have it. You don't have to be in life/death operational situations, but that's where the probability that you're gonna have one of those things happen is massively increased. I saw someone with a TENS unit in their armpit with the nodes running up into their neck...I started crying because I know how bad that hurts. And then on the other hand, I'm so ugly I guess that all I have to do is walk the wrong way and people say they'threatened. I'm not even big, I'm just beat up.

Getting a new guitar as an adult is the closest feeling we can get that brings us back to when we were kids and opening up presents on Christmas Day! I’m a blues guitarist and I’m not much of a metal guy but I really enjoy your channel… love seeing someone passionate about what they do and so genuine and humble. Happy for you man! 💪

No one should be scared to cry because tough people aren't afraid to show their emotions in front of others
