My husband’s grandmother passed today at age 86. Stage 4 lung cancer. She was not a fan of going to the doctor, so all of this was extremely sudden. She was a very special lady and she will be missed greatly 💜Thank you for sharing this touching video❤

Both My Gmas lived in the North east one on Cheltenham ave across from the cemetry and the one that reminds me of the stories you were telling about your Gma she passed in her apartment on Stardust lane also called Acme ACKAME and called people hun🥺she only lived until 64(i was 10 when she passed)her smokes were newports🥺this vid had the waterworks going. All your scooting/walking vids reminds me of all my fam/my early childhood.

Ah man this was a really special episode. My moms parents, my mom mom and pop pop, were my favorite people and my happiest childhood memories were at their house. They are both gone now but after my mom mom passed my pop pop sold the house and moved in with my aunt and I will never forget closing the door on that house for the last time. One of the hardest things I've ever done. Thanks for sharing these great memories captain.

I love all your videos Captain but this one is quite possibly my very favorite. It reminded me of the deep love that I also have for my Mommom. She unfortunately passed way too soon in 1992 and my love for her is as strong as ever today. I tell anyone that will listen that she taught me everything that I needed to know in life and molded me into who I am today. Much love to you and your Grandma ❤ It's a love that feels like a reassuring hug everytime you think about her...I totally get it!

My grandparents were from Boyertown P.A. They both lived into their 90’s. When I watch your videos it reminds me of all the times I spent with them. I would spend summers with them in Pennsylvania and lived with them off and on through my life. They even moved out to Washington State where I’m from in their later years. I’m so thankful they were there to watch my own kids grow up too. That’s what makes your videos so special and entertaining to watch Thank You Captain 🥰

She's looking down at you and proud Jon Patrick. My grandmom came over during the potato famine when she was 18. Never strayed far from Ellis Island and had a big family. Seven daughters and one son. As a child i remember watching the Statue of Liberty out her living room window on Garfield Ave in Jersey City. And the trains too. made me a train dork. Never forget her irish brogue , Would call me Ale instead of Al.

Thanks for this video. Your Grandmom is watching over you. But you talking about her made me think about both of my Grandmothers. My MeMe (Dad’s mom) made ice tea in the tea kettle and added a lot of sugar. It was so good. Never had it like that again until I went to a friend’s home two years ago. I tasted it and it transported me back to MeMe’s kitchen. It was emotional for me. Your ice tea story reminded me of her. She passed in 2006 at 92. We celebrated her 100 birthday by having a family party and had all of the dishes that she had cooked and same with desserts. It was a great way to honor her. Doing this video is helping both yourself and all of us remembering loved ones and I thank you for that. Keep up the great work!

My grandmother on my mom's side off the boat Italian broken English would let me cut school at her house, and make sure I had a nap n freshly made meatballs. My mom would flip.
