Yeah, these chocolate primotalis are some pretty wicked hot peppers haha. It has been so far the spiciest I've had this year, but still to date the hottest pepper I have ever eaten was a red primotali, but I have eaten several dozen of the red ones and maybe only a dozen of the chocolates and since they are so close in heat anyways it's no surprise that a few of the red ones were hotter than the few chocolate I have had but I also wouldn't be surprised if I had eaten and equal number of chocolates that some of them would have been hotter.

Chocolate Primotaliis can be scary if you get a nasty one. I had one big one this season and my hands were vibrating for an hour while my ears kept ringing. Had another whole one recently and my throat felt paralyzed.

I wouldn’t suggest eating it straight up. We eat hot but we make like a pickled version with onions, green peppers, and vinegar to help dilute the heat. It is delicious in salsas and sauces. We deep fry who red snapper and we make a pickle hot sausage with ketchup base that we eat it with which is so good. I love hot peppers but I would never eat it straight up. Wwwwaaaayyyy too hot and can’t be safe. 😮

I ate 30 red Primotaliis and I can say without a doubt the chocolate Primotalii is way hotter.. I was only able to eat 11 if I remember right.

My ears kept ringing and my hands were vibrating for close to an hour after I ate a Chocolate Primotalii from Holtzapple Hot Peppers in Pennsylvania 3 or 4 Weeks ago. The Chocolate Primotalii is a scary hot pepper if you get it from the right growers and hotter than the red sometimes. I have not had the Golden Primotalii, but I might be getting some Caramel Primotallis from Jason Beard.

You're crazy eating that. I remember doing something similar with a Naga pepper and required half a tub of Ben & Jerry's cookie dough to recover. It still burnt when it came out though I didn't get the runs. I wouldn't do that again.
