Adam - Aerospace engineering is great if you want to get specific, but Mechanical Engineering is the best “general” engineering. I have a BSME and I’m now a Nuclear Engineer. It’s tough but worth it in the long run!! Good luck!

AVOX systems/aerospace (formerly Scott Aviation) is a great place to work for engineering, and Boeing is one of our biggest customers!!! There are locations all over the United States (and beyond I believe). I currently work at the one in Lancaster/Buffalo, NY. I’m not an engineer, but there are definitely jobs for engineers at AVOX. Good luck!

My sister in law and her husband are both aerospace engineers. She has a masters in systems engineering though and his is in computer engineering. A lot of that stuff overlaps and you can move around to different disciplines within the engineering field

My dad worked at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in Toronto before they closed down in Ontario. He had the option to move us to the states but decided to take early retirement instead. He worked there for over 30 years and enjoyed his job thoroughly 😊
