What I learned after losing my mum, was to be kind to myself. If you feel sad, allow yourself to feel that way and do what you need to do to get through the next minute, hour, day. I honestly think you don’t really ever get over grief, you just learn to walk beside it rather than letting it overtake you. My heart breaks for you because I’ve been there. God bless. 💚💚

Nick, loosing your mum is one of the hardest things in the world. I lost mine three years ago and felt so scared, lost and alone. Just know that we all love you and are hugging you and supporting you. You are not alone. She raised a son she was so proud of and loved and I am sure will be watching. Sorry for your loss love, stay strong as she would want you to be.

I'm so happy to see you two supporting eachother. Unfortunately I have no one. Your vlogs make me laugh usually. Sorry Nick for your loss. Love, hugs and kisses

Just watching this video, my heart goes out to you. I lost my Mum seven years ago to cancer and the memories are what get me through. Sending hugs. P.s. my first time to Disneyland Paris was with my Mum and my two children, pregnant with my thrid in January 1998, every time I go to a park I think of how much she'd love it xxxx

Love to you Nick and Leigh and all those who hurt from the loss of Gail. I like many have been though the loss of a parent and it is a monumental shift. Everything felt unreal. As Leigh said, I too felt flat and numb for a year. You will get to the other side of this grief. The loss will be there always but your life will return again. You will be forever changed but you will find life is good again.

So sorry to hear this news. You both have been amazing throughout this difficult time. I lost my mum when I was 21. It’s tough, no two words about it. A piece of your family jigsaw is no longer there. Time does heal, but it l takes time. Grief is a long journey. Everybody’s grief is individual. There is no right or wrong way to deal with it, just your way. You will have good days and bad days. Take each day as it comes. Talk to each other, hug each other, hold each other. It’s not easy, but together you will make a a difference to each other when you are struggling. She will have been very proud of how you delt with this and she knows you both have each other. That would have given her great comfort Nick to know you are not along and you have a good husband to support you. Take care both of you and my sincere condolences. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Such a sad start to the vlog, so sorry for your loss. Getting back to normal is so hard and you almost feel guilty for living your lives without them, but you know your mum wouldn’t want you to do that and if anything she would want you to live it to the fullest more than ever. People do say time is a healer and it is for sure, get some nice trips booked and have something to look forward to, that helped me so much. I found writing down how I felt and I got a pendant made with a picture in so they are always with me which I find comforting. Also your wall art is so beautiful, and adding the lights to it just finished it off nicely, lovely and cosy at night time I’m sure. Take care both of you, my hubby and I love your vlogs and you are two nice genuine blokes that deserve all the happiness in the world x ❤

I felt my dad sitting in my passenger seat for about 3 years. My brother I could see in my mind standing on a stage, very happy and waving people out for me to see. Everyone was very happy, even past pets. Five years later I mentioned this to my daughter and she saw the same things, on a stage, bringing out people who passed. Too may things to mention but I know there is an after life. Money, flowers, lost items showing up right after.

Leigh, your message at the beginning was so lovely. To both of you: the pain is deep and yet also right at the surface. But in time, you’ll find that you can breathe deeper, and the grief becomes more bearable, and the memories bring you comfort and joy. For me, I found sometimes just going for a walk and breathing fresh air helped. A visit to the ocean can be therapeutic too. I wish you both peace. ♥️ “Only people who are capable of loving strongly, can also suffer great sorrow, but this same necessity of loving, serves to counteract their grief and heals them”. - Tolstoy
