A very secretive Caracal with its prey - a special glimpse

I was very fortunate to witness a Caracal hunting and killing a springhare. These cats are very secretive - you generally only get a glimpse of them, so this was truly a special sighting.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to film the actual hunt… it happened so quick! But by the time I got my camera out, I was able to capture a few final moments and as she dragged her prey away into the darkness.
