Usually, historically, yes. It's at the beginning of changing, though. Flooding is increasing in intensity and frequency. One candidate has vowed (not in so many words) to smash the accelerator with glee. The other probably won't hit the brakes but when it comes to climate, coasting is better than rapid acceleration. Valencia, Ashville, southeast China, too many (for me) to list. Post-drought worsens floods.Droughts are increasing, too.

I had a not even spectacular wind gust blow me off balance (with a long piece of lumber) off of a step ladder today while building a house ... just caught me off guard I guess. But yeah when I went to work I noticed the air felt like a spring day though of course everything's dead, not growing. (SE KS)

We’re so desperate in Knoxville for moisture. We had the drought for so long… and then the sudden flash flood and immediately back to drought. These extremes are so rough. Lord in Heaven, have mercy!

Central Arkansas checking in here. We finally got a bit of rain a couple days ago, and all of our crunchy dry plants sucked that right up and used the newfound energy to just ... throw leafy matter EVERYWHERE I'm not complaining about the rain though. Let's go!!!

Central Florida's HELL of a summer had finally ended. It's cool at night, and yes, it's still warm. It looks like mid to upper 80s, but the humidity is far lower, and the heat index is out of the tripple digits. So... for a "warm" November, I'll take it!

It’s been SO NICE here in SW FL this past week. It can stay like this ALL YEAR! Humidity gone, a nice breeze. Back in the 80’s. Everythings great…TILL…there’s a hurricane. 😵‍💫. I pray you all get the rain you need. And NO MORE DISASTERS. 🙏

Norrthwest , Arkansas here As long as no hail, tornado threat it'll be ok. Wind couldn't rip out a tree with this concrete dirt😂😂 But bring on the rain, hopefully that multi-day rain event will follow thru😊

If you're seeing this comment before the storm, go check your water storage. It should be switched out every 6 months. Now is a good time to check or switch it out before another storm hits. Also, don't just dump the water out in a drain. Use the water on trees or plants around your home so that the trees don't die out from this drought and then become brittle for winter to terrorize your roof or house with.

Well that explains why my low back arthritis is acting up. Doesn't seem to matter if it actually hits my area if its close enough it hurts & I'm in the center of this. I hope those who need the rain get the rain & there's no tornadoes hitting folks. Or other damaging weather. Thankfully I'm getting a nerve ablation to rekill the hurting nerve that keeps regrowing. It's on the 6th so hopefully after that thd weather won't affect me as much until its really cold.

I drove down to the beach side in Vero Beach and the trees are picked clean or snapped off at the 6-12’ region. The homes received minimal damage, mainly shingle removal from the EF3 tornado of Milton

Moved to OKC from Virginia at the end of May (some how missing the severe weather event in Oklahoma AND the one in Tennessee despite traveling both of those days, my timing was immaculate) so this could be my first actual severe weather experience since the move. The weather nerd in me is looking forward to it, the southwest Virginia girl in me is just a bit scared but is, in fact, prepared.

Funny how I've lived in tornado Alley for several decades now but never even seen anything remotely like a tornado (well, beside dust devils I guess, but .. yeah) True it's not Oklahoma which is probably the worst, but right next door in Kansas.
