@jerrycox4435 that is awesome. I share a similar story. I saw Gary Wright in Toledo in 1976, a few months later I had a last minute blind date to an Aerosmith concert at the sports arena. In 1977 we married and will celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary in November. Keep on rockin!

One day when you're 55 like me, lol, you'll realize the more times you listen to all this music, the more meaningful it becomes and how it sort of of lines the path of your life beginning with that first time you fell in love with a song or melody. Up to the mid 70's, most bands played with a standard rhythm section of Bass and Drums. In the mid 74 Gino Vanelli released Powerful People which had no bass and used keyboards to replicate the sound which was unique at the time. In 78 Gary Wright released this album with the same format. You definitely should check out People Gotta Move by Gino. Fantastic song that set the template for many bands in the future.

@@vincentschmitt7597 , no that’s Michael Martin Murphy. Spooky Tooth was an excellent Hard Rock band from England that formed the late 60s. It was comprised of British and American musicians, Gary Wright being the sole American early on. Mick Jones of Foreigner fame was also a member of Spooky Tooth in the early to mid 70s. They have some really good Rock albums and are worth checking out.

Thanx Jay & Amber for reacting to this great track that was all over the radio back in the day when it came out. Prior to this solo album from Gary Wright, he played keyboards and sang along with Mike Harrison in a band called Spooky Tooth. They had a more bluesy sound had some amazing vocals such as "Evil Woman".

Dream Weaver, one of my all time favorites! I used to go watch a traveling keyboard musician when I was in high school in the mid 70s, he played in a local lounge. He played Dream Weaver as part of his act and it sounded exactly like the record! I loved it! And strangely enough a few years later I moved to another state, and some years later in the mid 80s I ran into him playing in a lounge! So of course I asked him to play it, and he did. What a nice guy. Hello out there to Dave the Starduster, where ever you are!

@@Mr.56Goldtop There are a lot of us Julie Whites, lol. Even more Julies, especially born in the 60s and 70s. Julie Andrew's popularity in "The Sound of Music" had something to do with that, I think 🤔 🎶

Great song! That middle part is so groovy. Yes, he did with quite a lot with George Harrison as others have said. Ok, Amber and Jay, are you ready to have your minds blown? Go check out “Outta Space” by Billy Preston. It’s so funktastic and you both will love it. And, Preston also has a connection to George Harrison.
