Yeah something most people in the world will never know is how much it costs to ship stuff for Canadians. I literally shipped a gift to a friend that was less than 1KG, living in the same city as me, but oh the other side of the city and I have no means of going to them for the time being and to ship it to the other side of my own city it cost 31$ with the shipping box cost added in and still it’s going to take them 1 week to make the delivery!

I freaked when a friend gave me a GameCube they didn’t want that was apparently not playing multiple controllers but it just needed a good cleaning and it’s fine. You should buy another one of those exploded systems and put it together and see if you can actually build a working one with the framed parts. obviously you would have to provide missing hardware such as wires and what not but i feel that would br a good idea for your channel for the views and interest.

The build up to Ryan's packages was definitely real lmao. If you do end up refurbishing/fixing the Gameboy Advance or doing a reshell at some point I'd be very interested in the video. I just got a GBA in the mail today and I'm considering doing a reshell on it but I'm not entirely sure yet.

Ryan, you're crazy man. So generous. By the way Elliot, the 3DS and PSP are North American versions and have some region locking that I'm about to explain (not sure about the Vita). The PSP for games is 100% unlocked - all "PAL" games will work on the console. However video UMDs (the PSP discs) are locked to the system's region. The console code (PSP #00#) tells you two things, the first number is the console version (1 is the oldest 1000 model, 2 is the 2000 and 3 is the 3000 - I think Ryan's is a "Slim" 2000 or 3000 which are subtly different, mostly the Home button was rebadged as the PS logo button for example) and the last number is the region code (1 is Canada/USA, 3 is UK/Europe, etc). Confusingly movies, TV shows and music video UMDs often tell you the DVD region on the globe logo instead of the PSP region, ie DVD region 2 PAL is PSP region 3. (More information on importing games, consoles and movies on my channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHPFqmOhmsuAhsk - which is part 3 of my Electronics For The Lesser Knowledgeable series, aimed at rookie to intermediate console repairers and modders) The 3DS family (including the 2DSs, XLs and "New" editions) are locked to that region's 3DS games, so Ryan's will only play North America continent's 3DS games. However it appears it will play any original DS game from any region. Hope this helps.
