A Visit to Viviani Square

This short video shows Viviani Square, a small park just across the river from Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. The park features the oldest tree in Paris, planted in 1602 and thus more than four centuries old, plus the oldest church in Paris, the church of Saint Julien le Pauvre, now a Greek Melkite Catholic church.
It's a nice little park with a great view of Notre-Dame, right in the heart of the Latin Quarter of Paris.

Just about everything in Paris seems to be named after a saint, a politician, a general, or a calendar date, and I've not found any logic in how the names get chosen. But I guess that's more inventive than using First Street, Oak Street, or Main Street.

St. Phillippe du Roule Catholic Church was built by the architect of The Arc Dr Triomphe...worth a look and stayed on the street near the arch. Hotel Bradford was small but nice.

I like looking up the names. Don't understand parliamentary government but the park seems to be the right size for a guy who was only in charge for one year of what wikipedia calls undistinguished service.
