A Voith B7RLE To Wotton | Route 115 | Bowdenham V5.0 | OMSI 2

Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
It's time for our weekly visit to OMSI 2 where we're back on the fantastic Bowdenham V5 map! This time we're driving for Arriva in the brilliant MS Veiling 2. Fitted with a Voith gearbox this sounds and performs slightly different to the ZF variant which I'm a fan of.
The 115 is very similar to the route 30 which we drove a few weeks back in the Studio Polygon Lite. There are quite a few differences though and it turns out I'm a massive fan of this route! Who knew?

I use Arriva basically every day and I would say I hate it you have to wait 2 hours for a bus that don't come but great video

Thereafter a debate on what gearbox is the best bit I can tell you as a former operator that the voith gearbox is way ahead of ZF on reliability. Our only complaint with voith is that reverse isn't very good. I spoke to voith and they said its because it doesn't have a reverse gear it connects two drive cogs to make a reverse. How it works I've no idea but I thought it was interesting. Over time the accelerator cable goes slack so your not getting enough power for the reverse to kick in so over time you find voiths that won't reverse up a gradient. All it takes is to adjust throttle cable. When I called voith about the issue they said... I guarantee you there's nothing wrong with that gearbox (and he was right)... it was 20 year old at that point... that's how good voith are. Had plenty of zf box fail but never a voith.

Good choice! I definitely prefer the ZF with Volvo, Voith does sound good with the VDL vehicles though

Fantastic video Joe I love this map just like you I have been driving up and down on this I loved V4 but V5 with its mods is absolutely fantastic. and in West Yorkshire we still have the B7RLES We have 1100 1101 1102 1103 1105 just returned from new engine I believe 1107 came back from accident damaged 1108 1109 1110 1111 My Stalker 😂 1112 -------------- Ones Withdrawn are 1104 1106

@@JoeDobsongaming no problem I believe 1106 was due to a RTC and had body damage beyond repair and 1104 I believe same with RTC and beyond repair last time I saw them was in back off the Heckmondwike with the front end smashed in 😭 it’s a shame I had 1112 yesterday with a Squealing turbo it sounded amazing

I’ve never been a fan of the Volvo/Voith combination, I prefer a Voith with a VDL

I can't get this route yet I've got everything installed and copied everything across from the mod to my files... EDIT.. all the vehicle liveries etc are there just not the timetables and destinations

I cannot play OMSI2 with the floating route guide. It’s just so wrong. I bought both Omsi-nav and busbetribe simulator to use the sat nav. It’s so much more professional and tidy
