A Voo-doo priest’s encounter with Christ and the biblical account of the Demoniac - Unreal!!!

So good JD! We had two similar experiences in the bush of Madagascar. The first: a middle-aged witch doctor received visions about a group of white people doing a skit. She mentioned a man who she later said was Jesus speaking with her. She felt such a deep impression from this man that these people were to be trusted. So when she walked her children to school, she followed the instructions from this vision and went the long way home. On her way, she came upon a crowd of local Malagasy folk watching our YWAM skit … long story short, she confronted us and invited us to her home. When there, she told us of the vision, and said she KNEW the man in her vision was Jesus and she wanted to renounce her affiliation yo her demon(s) as a witch doctor.. She took all her books, cloak and other materials she used as a witch doctor, burned them and sang worship songs as her previous life burnt away… and her new life of freedom in God started! The second: An elderly witch doctor (who seemed to be bed ridden) asked to visit with us. To keep it short, when we prompted her about serving the true King, she admitted it was “too late” for her. But she told us, “I know your Jesus. He is much more powerful than my master. If you people knew how powerful His name was, you would never stop praying.” The first was an example of God saving someone and we were immensely blessed to be witness to it, and the second was confirmation of our unintentional ignorance in the western church to the POWER of the King we serve. And yet, God still used her to challenge us to pray, remembering we serve a powerful God!!
