yeah! I suggest you research some more on your own though because of different region also consider what you wanna do with your VR in particular (which games, standalone/pcvr, etc.) !!

I think I'm just watching this video because it's on your channel lol. I think it's really cool that the quality of your videos seem quite good for the amount of subs you have. This is a good informative video and I think if you keep uploading you'll definitely make it far!

the only reasons i couldnt get a pico are 1. i live in US and 2. my ipd is too low for that headset, it physically does not adjust to be narrow enough for my eyes, otherwise it would be a really good headset

Great guide for people getting into VR. However Id heavily advice AGAIST buying a pico 4. At least in my opinion, within that prince range getting a quest 3s instead should be a no-brainer, it has a cheaper base price and is better at practically everything, from refresh rate to processing power, SPECIALLY when we are talking about "cheap VR" because you can get a great standalone experience without even thinking about the costs of a beefy PC able to run VR games anyways. Recommending a Pico 4 makes a bit of sense in your case because you mentioned this guide is aimed at europe/asia which is precisely the Pico's market, but the Pico 4 REALLY falls behind the Quest 3s whilst also being more expensive. To anyone reading this, please look into a Quest 3s first, if its not directly available in your area you can buy it in another area/country and have it shipped through a courier like i did.

@@EclairFome The 3S is definitely a good option depending on your region, but personally I just don't like the comfort you're getting out of the box + the fresnel lenses for that price point. But yeah definitely depends on your region and your setup ✌️
@EclairFome18 күн бұрын
@himanausagi Yeah thats a valid point too. Sadly the 3S doesn't have pancake lenses to make it more budget friendly. Also idk if its easily available in countries like China or Malaysia where the Pico leads the market, so yeah it depends a lot on the region too!

@nerazawaI don’t think they’re gonna be noticing the difference with fresnel vs pancake if it’s going to be their first VR headset. Went with quest cause I had a bad pc and I was going to be using it for more standalone capabilities. Also for FBT on a budget you could also recommend Viso or Mediapipe, both of which are free and can even track legs so you can kick and stuff.
@nerazawa15 күн бұрын
@@secretiveplotter1474 yeah you probably wouldn't notice the difference between fresnel and pancake when immersed but imo it helps make the headset feel lighter I actually haven't heard of these other softwares so I'll definitely check them out myself later ✌️

Heavily disagree. The Pico 4 is a huge step-up over the Quest 3S/Quest 2 in areas other than gimmicks. The only things the Q3S does better is the better chipset and better passthrough. Both of which don't matter for PCVR use. The refresh rate would've mattered more if it was reliable and stable and didn't significantly hurt the quality in the process. Standalone games are a thing yeah but they're a significant downgrade over their PCVR counterparts, and for things like VRChat which this video seems to be geared towards, the standalone is so bad that it might as well not exist lol.

duh, you need a fast connection to essentially have a wireless DisplayPort, nobody wants to have a seven second delay like on twitch
