I went to school at Market Lavington Comprehensive, my dear mother started school in Easterton, her Comprehensive school was actually the library (briefly shown). The old scouts hall was where the library used to be before 2020 ( pre-Covid ).

An excellent video ending in The Muddle New Street where I have lived in the 1930s cottages since a child. I have certainly seen some interesting changes in that time especially since our long front gardens became a car park!

Im trying to find out why it went from being a town to being downgraded to village status. What halted it's development or continuation of being a town?

Many towns have been downgraded to being called a village. Property developers love doing it. 😀
