Many thanks for this tour Grahame. I helmed a yacht for too many hours, too many years ago, through rough weather before arriving in La Rochelle and enjoying the food and beer (these days it would definitely be 🍷). Lovely old town 😊

I love La Rochelle and used to visit there regularly, in the 70's, when I used to holiday in Saint Palais Sur Mere which is just over an hour south of La Rochelle. Brings back a lot of happy memories mate. Take care Grahame. Cheers, Huw

Love Saint Palais sur Mer. The restaurant by the beach ,Chez Bob, may not have been there when you visited?The town is such a hidden gem I think.
