My wife and I love going, even in the Winter time when it's inside.

Hey Dr. Big fan! You mentioned you had gastric bypass surgery. How about a before and after picture? Keep up the great work!

My family used to visit my great aunt and uncle who lived at the top of the Congress Street hill across from the WULTEX clothing factory. Thanks for posting

Sad to say..but Troy has definitely seen better days! My found memories are from 60-90s and it was certainly a much better place,of course time does change everything.Still I’ll always remember those good old days…

I moved to Troy in the late 90's and it was a rough place physically, but I must admit, it is looking better, and overall, the crime isn't as bad as people think. Yes. there are places you don't want to shuffle around after midnight but it's not bad. I feel pretty safe walking around my neighborhood at night. Overall, the city is getting better. A ways to go but . . .😎

Everyone's complaining about the camera movements.....if not for the movements, how then do we see from a pedestrian's perspective? How dare he?! It's a fine video and as a native New Yorker (from Queens) I appreciate being shown places in my own state. I'd visit Troy because of the video. It looks like a nice little place. I grew up in Long Island City during the 90's....in comparison to then, it looks pretty damn good.

Thanks so much for the support. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Troy is a great place. It has its problems and problem areas like any city, but it's a fantastic place to live. Lot's of good food, entertainment and you are close to hiking areas. 😎

@@The_Cultural_Historian_DrRGST Of course Sir. I very much enjoyed the video and appreciate informative Historical and Cultural content. Indeed, all places have issues. So many people seem to focus on "This isn't Perfection!!!!" when they go somewhere and then disparage the place entirely. People will go to Moscow, "Can you believe they only drink tea?!" People go to Sarajevo, "Everyone spoke Bosnian and all the letters were backwards!!!" People travel to Amsterdam, "They have traffic here??!? I thought it was just bikes and trains?! What a rip off!" You find what you are where you go. If you are interested, you find the interesting aspects of a place. If you are adventurous, you get into adventures. If you're from Manhattan and use complaining as your professional sport, then no place is good or has any good in it because it's not 103rd St and Broadway. "Can you believe there's no place in Istanbul to get a bacon egg and cheese?!?!" Yes....yes i believe that, it's Istanbul. Best to you Sir and I'll check Troy out on my next Re-Set, as I'm a regional Truck Driver. Peace!!
