Many thanks, Johan, I, and my mother, were born in PS, went to Church drive school, fell in the boating pond, (was empty for you), danced at the Hulme hall, played in the dell, swam in the baths, (now gone), pity about the railings now around the Lady Lever art gallery, vandals. It hasn't change all that much in 76 years.

Nice historic village, very beautiful houses, but the church is less charming. The place also seems so empty, no kids in the streets, no cars (which is good), not that many trees and flowers (which is not so good). Hmmm, I wonder what the average price of one of the smaller houses, let alone one of the cottages today is. Not really the typical Labour Party/Trade Union village any longer, rather higher middle class ? Rich shop owners, civil or commercial engineers, higher officers ?
