I’m planning to go up to Simons seat this weekend but on my own. This video has definitely given me the motivation to do it 😃 I hope to find the waterfall too!

Some overview and prefiguring of the route would be jolly helpful. We did part of this last last October, parking at Storiths and going as far as the Strid. Didn't appreciate what Simon's Seat was at the time, but now very keen to do it to get the views over mid-Wharfedale.

Hello thank you for watching, there was no prefiguring of the route done by us & no map used, we had heard of Simon seat and wanted to have a good walk, we saw the sign which said Simon seat and followed it, the walk was longer than we thought but we'll worth the views, all in all it has triggered our enthusiasm to get out and walk more to see our stunning countryside 👍

What a lovely walk, stunning in places to be honest...or should I say 'expedition' on some of the trek..lol. So glad you scrambled down at the waterfall as it made for a better view of the torrent of water coming over the top....really impressive. As for carrying a spare SD card...well done that man! Lol. The trig point at Simons seat is 485 metres height. What distance/time did you walk roughly overall? TFS, appreciate it.

Hi Dawn, thank you, we are certainly a lot fitter now with all the walking we have done where we live over lockdown, in total our step count was just over 12 miles, second video incorporates the walk down the river to Cavendish Pavilion, up to the Strid & back to the site
