Only because I walked those road for 20 years in the past....I'm following you! It was always "my home" and i haven't been since the plague. We are working on next year! My child was conceived at Pennsic, and now is driving the van! Funny my body has gotten older but my persona hasn't. LOL.

I understand. This year was our first year back to Pennsic since the pandemic. It was wonderful to be back home! Wow, how time flies! Are you excited or nervous to have a driving teenager?

The encampment you passed (on your left) after leaving the merchant area (the camp with the tall white pillars) is House Dark Yard, they are in the Kingdom of Midrealm

Glad this was helpful! Yes, a pair of good walking shoes is great. Years ago, I used to wear black ballet flats. My husband called them my impractical shoes. There are areas with gravel... and I couldn't walk on the gravel with my flats (I could feel every rock through my thin soles). My flats also had no arch support, no padding, etc. He finally convinced me to buy a decent pair of shoes that could handle lots of walking. If you wear a pedometer, don't be surprised if you walk double your normal amount (especially if parking and then walking to the bog).

A variety of things! In no specific order: armor, weapons, rattan, clothing, medallions, shoes, circlets, books, belts, baskets, honey stuff (beeswax items plus honey sticks), leather, parasols, and so much more! It varies a bit from year to year, as far as which merchants will be there. Closer to the event, the Pennsic website should list the merchants for that year.

The barn is where the Pennsic store is now. Court is now held in a large building beyond where the medics are.
