Pretty sure Gemma (the hot blonde) is the smithy from 4U, shes the smithy for wilds and has a very similar outfit, plus the Kut Ku plushy on her hip could be the connection between wilds and 4U

The spikes in the ground are possibly fulgurites. Basically they're created when lightning strikes sand. But that doesn't answer why they thin out at the tip.

Handlers are assigned to hunters when exploring uncharted territory not currently overseen by The Guild. Hunters had Handlers when exploring the New World since basic Guild amenities weren’t in high stock. The new area we explore, the Forbidden Lands, appears to be in the old world but off in a place that was restricted by the Guild due to lack of exploration in the area. The insane weather we see in the trailers may be the reason The Guild never went in there beforehand but now with this strange kid with us we may be trying to get him back home. Also the Hunter and Palico are now fully vocied. I actually really like this since now you and your buddy will be active participants in conversations and give input on situations and plans and also your Palico will now inform you of what they’re doing and if they’re using a support move directly instead of you needing to glance to the right of the screen to check some text.

looking at it closely, pretty sure that aint a pukei. think its just a colorful bird. you can see little stub legs when it flies away that are very birdlike and not very bird-wyvern-like

@@michaeldeleon8970 I do zero research outside of trailers. I don't read articles, listen to interviews, nothing. I feel as though information like that, extra almost being the scenes stuff, confirmations about speculation outside of the trailers themselves, are a spoiler. I know I'm in a minority for that, but I've had bad experiences researching games I want to play too much before they ever even come out. So as a rule of thumb, I ONLY watch trailers, and don't look up any other videos or sources or speculation based on said trailers. What you just told me I consider a spoiler. Obviously, I have much stricter rules on what I define as a spoiler than most other people so it's not like I'm annoyed or anything. Only my closest friends would know not to say something like that to me, but that's how I view it. I enjoyed the freedom of speculation without definite answers, so I'm sticking to my guns and claiming that THAT AIN'T A PUKEI

This is a japanese game, the "save data" thing is just a "If you want to claim the bonuses you have to input your old save data, a reward for the old hunters who have played our previous games" most likely just linked with your steam account or playstation account, you have the same thing with Worlds The commander looking dude is from 4U, he was the ace hunter with the lance

42:55 I actually looked into the animation frame by frame and my take is this : the Shoulder tackle+Greatsword strike is a 1-2 with the first counter strike as the strike goes up, sending the monster back, the grapple is hooked onto the monster somewhere then the Hunter reels the grapple in (see it flying in around 2:13 in the trailer and 42:57 here) to get the momentum to start charging then finally the Hunter arrives and connects with the Monster's face Also today I day-dreamed up a new contextual block, like the GS has with the Doshaguma, but for my main : Charge Blade the Hunter puts their shield up, and blocks the monster like the GS hunter but then, as they win the confrontation (assuming it's a QTE/Button Mash as is widely speculated) they slot the sword in the shield, extend the axe, also effectively uppercutting the Monster, and then spin around and slam down a (S)AED

10:10 I take it as her glasses being made from an in-game analog of mother of pearl or abalone shell, materials that produce similar patterns, rather than the obvious acetate frames :p To be fair, some NPCs even have rimless glasses which I'd wager are also a relatively recent invention (nevermind bowgun variable magnification scopes) so I'll let the modern library look pass xD.

Somebody else commented this as well, but looking at it, I'm pretty sure that's just a colorful bird, and I don't see the resemblance to pukei or how several people have come to that conclusion. My guess is that some other KZbinr who's probably very big (probably ragegamingvideos) has speculated or claimed something of that nature

Ive got a spit ball theory for you. Awhile back in japan they released a equal dragon weapon model thus conferming its canon. What if with all the left over foundations this is a ancient civilization area and the boss ends up being a equal dragon weapon instead of a elder dragon.

4:35 Its not a save data transfer, its a save data bonus, there's zero carried over. Maybe at the minimum you can transfer your Hunter/Palico look but I doubt that.

Perhaps I wasn't clear, but to me those are the same thing. I referenced fire emblem radiant dawn/path of radiance in the video as doing something similar. In that game, characters who you capped stats on in a playthrough of the first game could be given a VERY small stat boost to their bases in the second game. I don't find that concept fundamentally different than what they are doing here in this game despite the details being obviously very different
