I have loved all the week so far, but one of the things that makes me smile when watching these great videos, is the fact that the dog is an integral part of the photographer's life. It's so beautiful seeing him everywhere...

I know this is a commercial for the D2 (which is a nice light but out of my budget); however, I'm impressed how this video was put together. Showing his work flow and working on each step with voice over to explain how/why to his choices is really nice to know.This is great information and I enjoy this story line while using the product. Nicely done.

I love the way he says, "Soft, but crispy light" at 1:44. I wish I had an accent half as Swedish as that.

Why does profoto need KZbin ads before the video?

To seduce the amateur photographers. The Pros might be happy with their Broncolor flashes.

Looks strong. Would be nice to see the final image PRE edit. Then we’d get the full measure of the lighting. As is it isn’t clear what’s out of camera and what’s post.

Nice work... thanks for sharing. How are you powering the D2 outdoors?

With an extention cable or a Batpack.

at 1:33 can someone tell me the light unit being used to illuminate the wall. At the end of the video, i see they used 4 of the D2's but there is no saying of the light that's on the floor, being pointed at the wall. thanks everyone. ps. i just purchased my very first set of light, my D2's. :)

Hi, Andreas didn't use any perticular unit for lighting the wall. The light you are refering to is most likely ambient light from the studio.
@joelruiz64408 жыл бұрын
Stephen Gatley: hey Stephen, i wasn't referring to the two rear D2's. If you look behind the rear D2 light and on the ground, I thought that was a light source to illuminate the wall. I was thinking that object on the floor was flooding the wall baby blue because around that object, on the floor, there is light coming out from it. (watch from 1:54-2:01) But as you see Mr.Andreas walking away from his model at 1:54, you will notice a tad bit of blue on his shirt. Keep watching it and you will notice, as you get closer to 2:00, there is a light on the ceiling, which looks as if it has a blue gel that's adding the color blue to the white; making it a tad bit blue.

You can see very clearly, two other continuous gelled blue lights in the studio. They were used on the model and the background. I don't even know if all four D2s were actually used for this shot at this point. Photographer killed it, but you can't in all honestly say he didn't use other lights. It's impossible to have a clean gradient the way he had it without a background light.

The light at the floor is a kinfolk Celeb LED 201. I think it comes from the video boys. They need some more continuous light, especially for the slowmos/the dark edges of the studio and this is a little effect light for mood.

@roycox44155 жыл бұрын
great model and video is beautiful but a serious overuse of gear for this shoot. final used image is over lit in my opinion. you focus more on the heavy rim and multi directional lighting than you do the models intense features overall. that single beauty dish with little or much less rim may have looked better and brought her skin and hair out as the brightest part of the scene. again just my opinion. top notch product video.

I seriously feel that other cos. should not even make lights/light modifiers, and one who can afford, should never use anything else other than PROFOTO! If god created sun, men created profoto. So great! God, the day I can afford a profot setup! I wish I can, before time runs out for me. Amen!

Broncolor or any damn color! Profoto is Profoto... so many modifiers, such precision strobes, so much of experimentation with gels and color... there is no1 like profoto...
