GIRL. The syllable humming trick blew my mind. We struggle with my highest kids trying to break up the sounds in single syllable words and this humming trick is going to change the game for them!!!! You’re a genius!

Hey doll- I’ve taught first grade for six years and I found that the fat pink erasers will erase crayon enough to look clean! It doesn’t completely come off like pencil but it does erase the crayon for mistakes. This has helped my firsties when they are doing activities with crayons. 😊 you are ridiculously amazing! Never lose your joy!

I always tell parents to just have their student write their name under “from.” That way they can just go through the line of bags and throw one in each bag! Super fast and easy. Also, this year I had them do it when they first came in while everyone was on computers. I had about 3 at a time going down the line and it worked SO WELL!

One thing I do to help with passing Valentines in K/1 is use a mini picture of each student along with the child’s name on their Valentine bag. . My favorite day in the classroom as well!

Congratulations on your nomination. I teach preschool so one of our skills is to write our first name, so that’s how I get them to sign their valentines cards and not to worry about the to part. It makes delivery so much easier. We have one more week and then it’s our spring break. I hope you enjoyed your break.

I stopped having parents put names in the “to” spot years ago. They only put their name in the “from” spot, and that is it. Makes passing out valentines quick and smooth. I just have a couple of kids at a time go through putting one valentine in each bag.
