I think people underestimate the value of it takes two to make a team! Got married at 21 and supporting my spouse through school. Hubby decided to go back to school at 28 and said he never would be able to do it without me. I work full time and while bills are tight, he is able to be a full time student/stay at home hubby! He cooks, cleans, runs all the errands. It really doesn't matter who does what, but we try to find joy in life's simple thing like having dinner together

My parents took turns supporting each other in grad school (while also having kids, but that’s another story!). 8 years later, and they both had PhDs in their fields! My dad was the one that got us ready in the mornings, did the dishes (Mom cooked), and all of helped earth Saturday chores. Partnerships rock!

Girl I have had the most depressing, chaotic and stressful yet simultaneously invigorating week of my freaking life! I said goodbye to the state I was born and raised in, and say goodbye to my little sister for the first time ever because my boyfriend, dog and I drove 15 hours in a U-Haul truck all the way from Arizona to Texas where we live now! I have never moved out of state so it was very bittersweet leaving!

I remember being young and not comfortable setting a boundary or expressing that someone is making me feel uncomfortable at a nail place.. I’d encourage you to learn how to stick up for your body. Your body deserves to be treated well, and it’s OK to let someone know they are being too aggressive or that you need more care. I’ve had people treat me and my nails like shit because I didn’t stick up for myself. Which is ok, I was young and no one to guide me or teach me how to handle uncomfortable situations like this! Especially when a bunch of humans are reactive and weird or take things personal.. anywho hope next time you find the courage to speak up for you and your beautiful hands! They don’t deserve to be beat up because someone is working on them that is obviously not having your best interest in mind. I started doing this.. and I honestly feel much happier at the end of salon services. I I used to let hair dressers and nail tech get away with a lot.. and I believe in grace and not assuming the worst in people.. so yeah setting a boundary politely, gracefully, but firm and letting someone know you LOVE yourself and you value your vessel and will not tolerate anything less than being cared for well. Doesn’t have to be perfect and something unrealistic but leaving with cut fingers shouldn’t be an outcome moving forward.. and sadly most people know if they are hurting you.. they just don’t care and don’t know how to manage their energy/emotions and take it out on people.

I loved this so so much! Definently will become an avid viewer! My week started off really really rough, my anxiety had gotten to the point where I couldn't even function and was in physical pain. However, I decided to take a break for the week despite the people around me not approving, and I am so so so happy I did. This just might be the breaking point for me. At 32 I’m currently a stay at home wife 😂 I met my husband my last year of undergrad in fall 2012. We got together March 2023. At that time I was working as a CNA making 9-11$/hr. Then switched to MA making 12-14$/hr. All of this was while I was trying to get accepted to PA school. He was working full time as well, honestly through college and after. He went back part time to school for engineering in 2017 (still working full time) and I got into grad school in 2018. I could not work at all so I didn’t work from 2018- august 2020. Passed my boards and got a job January 2021. Worked there but it was not a good first job so I left November 2022. Since then I have been unemployed. Two main reasons. We got engaged in 2018 and I was planing out wedding for April 2023. The second was he actually graduated with his engineering degree in May 2022 and hadn’t found a job yet so he was looking out of state. So I didn’t want to find a job as a PA and have to move after a couple of months. Then a maybe 3 weeks before we got married he got a job offer in a different state. So we drove to the other state and spend a day looking for houses to rent. Found one and applied. Got married April 30th, honeymoon at Disney, moved states. he started his new job May 11th. Now because I’m a PA, we have to have licenses in each state so it took me since April (just got it a few days ago) to get my SC license. So now I finally can look for a job. I’m nervous but excited to get a new job. Just want to find the one for me. But I got 53k in student loans I gotta pay back and then we want to buy a home before we have kids soo.. lots to do in a couple of years :p

I’ve been getting dip powder nails for about six years. But at the beginning of this year I started doing my nails at home. Last time I went to the nail shop I got my dip nails then I had another appointment to go to so I left and came back to get a pedicure and the lady told me how bad my nails looked and that was the last straw for me😂
