Genuinely don’t understand either. I had so many opinions when I first shared I was going but I didn’t have one bad experience there! I felt safe and had a great time. Of course, be safe and don’t do bad decisions but everyone was so friendly with us!

I think it’s mainly due to what’s portrayed in the media and people mostly sharing negative experiences. Guatemala is like any other country , there is good and there is bad . Overall, it is a beautiful country and it deserves so much more than what most people think it is or portray it to be .. 🫶🏼

Ok this going to be a long story probably When I was born Dec 19 2013 my mom was 21 Years go by then when I'm 5 my mom needed a job but when we live in Guatemala🇬🇹 she still live in her parents house so she couldn't find a job in Guatemala so she wanted find a job in New York so I went with her so then she found a job she wanted to stay there for 3 years so my mom single but at her job she found a guy she really liked so she started to date him so he's my step dad now 2 years later it's 2020 my mom wanted to stay more longer so she did so 2 years more then we leave then 2021 my mom gave birth to my little brother then my stepdad worked in North Carolina when my mom me and my brother live in New York so then we really couldn't see each other so the my step dad said to live in North Carolina to we moved to North Carolina we live there about 3 years we did not go to Guatemala anymore yeah we have been living in New York and North Carolina for 6 years And I miss my grandparents But also my fav 2 uncles live close to us like 3 hours away from us since she live in North Carolina Then July 18 2024 we are going to New York for 2 days probably with my uncle also my family are not sure if there going with us or not But THANK YOU FOR READING THIS STORY
