I also did a big 2 month trip and I found being back home (LA) and readjusting to be really difficult! I'm not sure if that's some of what you're feeling Elena. So much so that I am considering moving to NYC for a change. The city makes you feel alive, with so much culture that you don't get in a beach town. Once you lay out at the beach for a couple of hours then there is not much to do. Cool if you are going to college and hanging in the off time on the beach. Her vibe in NY and involvement in causes really hits

Awesome video Elena!!!! Always great to see people stand up. I am 6'1' Blonde Hair and Blue Eyed and you would assume I get a free pass everywhere, but that isn't the case. I look young for my age and when I wear hoodies and my exercise clothes into stores ( I often stop by after the gym or jogging) I will be harassed by security or store clerks who will ask me if I am sure I can afford what I am looking at or they will outright ask me to leave. Even if I am just browsing through a busy aisle the clerks will single me out. So I can definitely empathize with others and this case in Iran is so, so terrible. I hope change happens soon.

I feel like you should do some exploring of NJ while you're living in NYC if you're missing outdoors! I'm from there and I'm surprised more people don't explore it while living in NYC. So much hiking to be found, creeks/rivers/waterfalls, so many beaches to access (asbury and sandy hook are accessible via public transport in the same amount of time it takes to get to an nyc beach!) just a suggestion :)
