Very cool city! As a guy from the US, this all looks so different from what I'm used to. Lots of old "castle-looking" buildings compared to what we have in the U.S. I'd love to visit someday. Thanks for the insights! (food looked really good too!)

Hi Rohit, there are plenty of student accommodation in Aberdeen, get in touch with the university who will help you out. Aberdeen is quite a small city, not spread out at all so you can get around quite easily.

@@djunatree3199 hello Djuna, in my opinion Aberdeen and Scotland is very LGBT friendly. There is a zero tolerance towards homophobia in bars, restaurants, buses, etc. Because it’s a student city, there are soo many people of different backgrounds, with different sexual orientations and I truly believe that it’s a safe place to be as an LGBT member. Unfortunately like anywhere in the world, there are some narrow minded people but luckily in Aberdeen I have never come across anyone like that. I’m bisexual myself and Aberdeen is one of the places I’ve felt the most welcomed. Also, every year (except during the pandemic) they have a huge pride parade and everyone is welcome. Thank you 😊 yes the new Art Gallery is amazing and definitely worth a visit. I was born in Scotland (my mum is from Dunfermline) but I grew up in Greece cause my dad is from there and came to Aberdeen for uni when I was 18 (4 years ago).

I will definitely get to the art gallery soon :) By the way, i used to love going to Strathbeg loch, Forvie nature reserve and Girdleness!! They are not so easy to get to but great if you like nature!
