I’d love to see inside your stores over there to see if we have something similar to them here in Australia, but maybe you’re not allowed to film in them. I always enjoy seeing your purchases. I was surprised by the price of your bananas. 39c a pound? Our bananas are 72c AUD EACH. Thats about 47c USD. The expensive organic ones are $1.08 AUD which is about 74c USD EACH! So I gasped at 39c a pound (that’s 500 grams in our metric weight). Usually fresh produce is sold by the kilo in Australia (a kilo is 2 lb 2oz) but some supermarkets sell fruit and veg on a per item basis. That’s why I’d love to see your grocery store and what we call a $2 shop, which is like your five below shop I think. We used to have imperial weights and measures but we changed to metric and dollars and cents many years ago. Before that we had pounds, shillings and pence like Britain. Fortunately I started school just as it was changing in 1966 so I only learnt the new way.

Sometimes the stores are a little crowded and I’m too embarrassed to film in them. And sometimes they have really loud music. I will try to film more inside though. 😊
