It's VERY valid to be overwhelmed and recognize your stress in levels. Sometimes forcing yourself to only think about the positives or gratitude is actually toxic because you're not letting yourself acknowledge or work thru what is really going on. You may want to check to see if your school offers counselling, usually colleges do. I checked out mine when I was feeling just extreme anxiety, like I was almost just frozen with it. It was REALLY helpful!

thank you! i’ve definitely thought about counseling, but as time goes on i’ve become a lot more in tune with my emotions and allow myself to feel all the feels😊

Remember times will get tough but seeing you get happy when you can make sense of your notes and put two and two together from what you learned shows that you got this and you will continue to to get it by working and grinding like you do ❤

When I was in the beginning of my program I was overwhelmed as well but as I’m near the end of it, everything clicks and makes more sense! Just like how you were able to piece together cranial nerves to disease process. Keep going, you’re doing so good ❤

You have to remember , you stated that the Nursing home was short staff. And normally a CNA can have 15 patients when you’re only taking care of 1 or 2. So yes they got better care. If families would pulled together more for their love one in a Nursing home, it would not be like that. I’m doing clinical at a Hospital, and the patients are not get better care. Still no baths, not being turned Q2hours. So patient care is patient care no matter where you are. Just do what you can.

this is so true, and I agree that families can certainly do more for their loved ones in that state! you make a good point about hospital patients also not getting attended to quickly. i always do what i can!❤️❤️

@@LoreleiSiren277 In my comment, I stated to do what she can for the Patient she is taking care. Never once did I say about what someone is suppose to do. Really in any profession, you should care about what you’re doing. This makes a difference. I work in Long term care, so I understood where she was coming from. So do what you can to make a difference in that patients life. Can’t worry about the rest. You continue to have a wonderful week.
