Can't wait to see the result of your eyelid surgery when you are fully recovered. I have similar problem with my eyelid and the left side is actually worst. So it will be helpful to know about the details. With western drama, I wonder if you guys have watched Highlander. It is really good! It was the love story that made me kept watching this drama which was totally out of my expectation.

@@annhans3535 the vast majority of insurance won't cover it in the USA. If it does for a valid medical reason (loss of vision) and you have one drooping lid, they will only cover one, the other eye will be out of pocket if you want it to match. This surgery will likely cost $3-10K depending on where you live and who you see.

In Denmark you get that surgery for free if your doctor aproves it, ofc it cannot be for cosmetic resons, but if it bothers your eyesight it is free.

Hi Sarah and Kyuho, hope that Beemo recovers well. Sarah, I'm interested in that eyelid surgery - I *am* in my early 60s and have noticed recently my eyelid drooping on one side, I should check that out. Your jacket really is a great find - if I look for a linen jacket all I can find are ones that are lined with polyester - kind of defeats the purpose since I want linen for the cool factor in summer!

I'm not happy with the surgery, it looks like it's going back to where it was initially. I need to have it done again. I feel like going to Korea just to have it done correctly.

Oh Beemo, I hope he gets better soon. Very curious for the eye lid surgery video! Mine started to drop as well and so far I've been doing face yoga regularly to tone these face muscles. But always good to know your options. There is this german movie called Victoria which has been shoot with only ONE SHOT. It's really impressive, highly recommend it :)

I would LOVE to get that eyelid surgery done. I'm 55 and I've dealt with my eyes getting so hooded. I didn't know about the thing about eyelid muscles getting weaker and eyes not opening well. Omg, what you were describing the forehead wrinkles while trying to lift the eyebrows is exactly my case. I do have ptosis but never really tried to get it fixed, I only started doing exercise for it and it kinda worked but I really wanted to fix it now that I'm young because o the same thing. You look great Sarah! And the Blazer is exactly what I wanted for the Summer too! But they were so expensive so I still couldn't find one! Glad Beemo is okay and it wasn't something serious! Yup, it’s such a common issue, but thankfully the surgery to correct it is not an invasive one (in Korea anyway!). I’m so thrilled I found that blazer! This type is usually so expensive 💦

My mom is 70 and she could benefit from one. I think I should probably do it around 55, because so far they are “ok” but I can start seeing signs of what you said.

Beemo does look very thin now. I hope you find some food that works for him. I had a Siamese who lived 20 years, and the last decade of her life she threw up a lot, but that can be common for older cats. I tried changing her food and took her to the vet a lot, but the vet said that the throwing up is actually pretty typical for a cat, and not necessarily something to medically manage. I finally just let it go and put her back on her old food that she loved, and she lived to a very old age happily.

I never knew that eyelid thing was an actual medical condition because that happens to me. Oh wow. You are right to get it done while you are young. I turned 50 and I am accident prone, I swear my owies don't heal as quickly as they use to and leaves scars behind. I now have to use special creams to get rid of them. Do everything while you are young so you can heal well and still enjoy looking good too.🤣Now you can do fancy eye makeup.🤣💜

Hope Beemo is doing better. Hope the antibiotics did the trick. We've got a cat with kidney issues. Four years ago, a veterinarian said we should have him euthanized because his condition would only get worse. I'm so glad we didn't take the veterinarian's advice, and we've still got this cat. It's so hard to find safe cat food. Hill's Science Diet dry cat food seems to be okay for him. Hope you find the ideal wellness food for Beemo and post a followup in your vlog. My Dad had that surgery recently. He is in his mid-70s so it was getting so bad that it was affecting his vision, particularly his peripheral vision. I'm in my 40s and as soon as you said about your forehead muscles overcompensating I had an aha moment. If I don't constantly raise my eyebrows I can't see as well. Oh, boy guess it's just a matter of time.

I was born with severe ptosis to the point where I needed frontalis sling surgery at just one year old. Eye doctors from around the country came to the clinic because I guess at the time it was pretty rare to do the surgery to that extent on a baby. They removed like half of each eyelid and now my eyes only close fully when I make an effort to either push down with my forehead or up with my cheeks. But I don't even notice anymore since it has been that way almost my entire life. However, it does mean my eyes don't close fully when I sleep, which causes severe dryness. One positive-ish side effect is that my brows and forehead aren't as mobile as most people's, so I probably won't ever have to deal with wrinkles there. 😆 I don't even know where I'm going with this... #ptosisgang and be on the lookout for any extra dryness now I guess!

아이고 코로나 확진이라니 사람마다 증상이 너무 달라서 마냥 가볍게 넘어가지는 않는다고 들었는데 지금은 괜찮으신가요? 언젠가는 걸릴거 같지만 그 때의 증상보다 혹시나 롱코비드가 될까봐 그게 너무 두렵네요. 비모는 항생제 먹으면서 지금 많이 좋아졌어요^^ 고양이가 나이가 들면 사람처럼 방광염도 잘 걸릴 수 있다고 해요. 나중에 세라의 쌍커풀 수술 영상도 따로 또 올리도록 할게요. 세라도 눈커풀이 처지면서 자꾸 눈을 찌르는 불편함 때문에 한거여서 지금은 너무 좋다고 해요. 이에 대해선 영상으로 더 업데이트 할게요 😄 즐거운 한 주 보내세요!

I don't know if you experienced this as well, but as soon as I got tired I am told I look angry. 고양이 물 한컵정도에 세방울 정도 식초를 섞여 매일 먹이면 금방 좋아 집니다. 의외로 식초물 잘먹구요. 우리집 아이들도 대수술을 했는데 그이후로도 소변을 못 볼때가 있어서 가끔 식초물 해주면 금방 소변을 보더군요. 애들 밥을 줄때도 물을 섞어주면 도움이 되요. 저도 처음엔 믿지 않았는데 미국에서는 사과식초를 사용해요. 냄새에 민감한 애들은 일반 식초를 사용해도 도움이 됩니다. 에구 아프지 말아야 할텐데요.😿

Love seeing you guys in your video! Beemo looks sooooo skinny all of a sudden 😳 that happened quickly, I feel like. I LOVE so many things about you guys, except your taste in TV. The only thing I have watched and would watch from your recs is Bridgerton... and I only watch that to complain about it. I mean it has its moments, but I much prefer shows like Gentleman Jack, Lincoln Lawyer, Business Proposal, Outlander, Poldark, Thirty Nine, Working Moms, Lupin, the Witcher, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Cursed, the Irregulars etc. At least you didn't mention Heartstopper and how wholesome it is... Beemo’s been gradually losing weight since last year when his tummy issues started and we had to switch him to that moderate calorie gastrointestinal food :( It really hasn’t helped him much, so we’re going to try other food. And oh my gosh, working moms is hilarious!! So proud it’s Canadian 😂🇨🇦

I know it’s case by case but I’m surprised they didn’t use dissolvable stitches on your eye lids. I got mine done 22 years ago when I was 20 (damn, I feel old! Lol) and they used dissolvable stitches and only cut 3-4 small spots on each lids. But anyway, South Korea has the best tech/skills when it comes to this kind of surgery. I wish you fast recovery! It literally took about 6 months for me to get all the swelling down and look like completely natural.

Oohh! Did you do the incisional or non-incisional method? 👀 My swelling went down almost completely after like 10 days-they really know what they’re doing when it comes to eyelid surgery in Korea!

@@2hearts1seoul that’s great your swelling went down so fast! When I got mine done, they called it ‘diamond’ procedure(?). They basically didn’t cut all the way across, just cut small spots and stitched. Mine was purely cosmetic purpose. But I’m guessing if drooping eye lid was the problem, I can see why they had to go across. Ugh, the numbing shot hurt more than anything else from the surgery. That shot was no joke. Lol

Woah, interesting! Removing the excess drooping skin was more on the cosmetic side, but the ptosis correction was for functional purposes. Better to do both at once 😅 I remember feeling quite the pinch getting the anesthetic injections, but not quite as bad as I was expecting!

I would love to see before and after photos of your eyelids! It seems a quick recovery :) I have really hooded eyelids that have gotten more obvious (to me) now I'm in my early thirties. I feel like it would be really pricey to get surgery for that in the UK though

I’m definitely going to be going more in depth in the video dedicated to this! Same-eyelid surgery (and cosmetic surgery in general) in Canada is wayyy pricier than is it in Korea, despite Korean surgeons’ techniques on average being much further ahead than most western countries.

I hope Beemo is feeling better and that Sarah's eyes are back to normal now. It must be difficult for Kyuho to go into a bakery given what a great baker his mother is. I would think there would always be the comparison of "my mom's abc bread is just a little crispier than this" or "my mom's xyz cake is always fluffier than this."

하아..정말 집사들에겐 애증의 방광염(흑흑) 저도 한녀석이 매년 방광염 증상이 있어서 꽤나 고생했어요. 시스테이드를 예방 개념으로 주고 있고 습식을 엄청 늘려서 주고 있습니다.. 병원에서 방광위치를 배워와서 화장실 못간다 싶을땐 손으로 대충 만져보면 빵빵하거든요... 그럴땐 정말 바로 병원에 뛰어가요. 비모에게 좋은 사료를 어서 찾았으면 좋겠어요!

A small amount of twilight sedation, but I was awake throughout the surgery, just very relaxed~ It took about 25 mins :)

Man, taking care of aging pets is always rewarding but it can be so stressful, lol! I'm actually about to leave for walk in hours at our vet with my old lady dog, I think she has anal gland infection *sigh*. Beemo looks like he has definitely lost weight but hopefully he will be feeling better soon! Both of my older cats (our 17 year old that left us last year, and my 12 year old that's still here with us) had/have hyperthyroidism, from what I understand it's fairly common in cats? So is kidney disease, so definitely something to keep an eye on. You guys are diligent though with Beemo and the stray kitties, so I have no doubt that you are on top of it all. They're in excellent hands! :3 Better Call Saul is GREAT! Loved that show, lol! We've been rewatching Stranger Things in anticipation of season 4 coming out soon! One problem I had was where the tiny hole is where the stitch was fills up with sebum. I have to squeeze it out I don’t know if that’s normal. Anyway hope that’s not the case with you.

I need to get the same thing, moreso because the left eyelid has weakened quite a bit in the last couple of years and I’m using my forehead muscles a lot more. My eyelid has become drippy the last 6 months or so. Which place did you get it done at? I may have to check it out if you end up liking your results after you’ve healed!

Yeah, it was my right eyelid in particular that was weakening at a much faster pace. I realized I’ve been using my forehead muscles to compensate for the lack of eyelid strength for the last few years at least. I got it done at Mina Plastic Surgery via Seoul Guide Medical 😊

For dry food we mix 50% gastrointestinal and 50% urinary health, as well as wet food 🐈 We have no idea what it is he reacts too as of yet.
