A week in the life living in Humboldt County

Greeeetings!
The other day I saw a post on facebook of folks who have lived here or visited in the past or who had just heard about this place, and they were talking a lot of smack, in a nutshell saying that Arcata and Humboldt County as a whole is "sketchy". This and everything else they were saying was so far from the truth. Murder Mountain is not all true and no where even near here. Safety is never guaranteed ANYWHERE you go, and Humboldt is definitely less sketch than most large cities. Ever feel sketch in La, New York, Detroit? This place, the people, and the energy here are pure magic! There are so so so many beautiful qualities to this area. Yes there may be some sketchy people, but let's be real here, there's sketchy people everywhere. Don;t trust everything you hear.
Anywho, I hope you enjoy this small snippet of what Humboldt County is really like. This is nowhere near as much as I would like to show the world but it will do for now. And the best time to be in Humboldt County is SUMMER so I may do another one of these videos in a few months :)

1978 through 1999. Arcata always chill. Drop down to Eureka not so much. Did my time in the mountains doing what we did. Surfing camel rock, the jetties and shelter cove. Picking mushrooms in the Arcata flats. Great memories.

My fiancé and I just moved a year ago but we lived in Mckinleyville for 5 years and it was literally the best fucking time of my life that I’ve ever had up till that point! I miss it a lot!

Yes, living in humboldt is a beautiful place. The welcomes to Eureka is the old k-mart building in the end of eureka and the prison in the middle. 😂

People who get murdered or kidnapped here are people who come from out of the area for trim work and then get in a truck with some random guy they met on the plaza or in garberville and ride with him deep into the woods. Pretty easy to avoid
