A week in the Life of a Doctor

Doctors in India are definitely overworked!! There isn’t any Sunday or Monday for you!! No weekends! Duty hours are- Monday 9am to 2pm OPD, 5:30pm we go to hospital and come back next day at 1pm thn again go back at 5:30pm !! No sleep. Sometimes it gets worse !! Every Third week we have Rotational duties on Sundays. Soo we don’t sleep on Sunday nights till 8am thn Monday OPD starts at 9am till 2pm !! Thn next days night labour from 5:30pm of Monday to 1/2pm to Tuesday and Evening rounds from 5:30pm !! Tbh the worse nights but the only thing which keeps you going is the love for the profession. Wednesday onwards hours are long !! Almost your whole day is gone daily but atleast you can sleep peacefully. It’s still better for me !! Hats off to all the PG people who even work more for 3 years !! And idk why but this field is toxic at some places. I am soo lucky that my seniors are more like big sisters and I am soo thankful. Yes it is hectic but coz of them I am loving every hour of it.

I dont know y i feel that doctors deserve much better life . After continuous preparation of 5 years and sleepless nights , you achieved the Doctor Degree .After that u r working long hours and may be sometimes there is no time to sleep properly.Despite of hardwork,you are earning less amount of money then u deserved. A normal KZbinr without proper education earning more money than doctors who give full time in studying, preparation and serviing People. Hatsoff to all the doctors
