For a while, I was convinced nothing bad ever happened to you regarding school because your life always appeared so put together! I would have stopped filming if that happened to me and cried for days lol. You STILL managed to hold it together though :)

Fairly new subscriber, stopping by to say a quick hi but also just to add that your study with me videos increased my productivity so much during my final week of semester which finished just over a week ago (I'm from Australia). I'm in my final year and was getting so drained but your personality and advice gave me the boost I needed to persevere. So a big thank you for that and all your study tips in your channel. Jamie I thought of your following on the youtube and I found a book at the NYPL that is called Thrive in Cell Biology and really enjoyed the format and read. It turns out that Oxford University Press has there is a Thrive BioScience series. These books are great for the High School and College following that are serious on medical school. I actually really enjoyed the section where your powerpoint crashed? (although that's terrible, sorry) but i feel like sometimes Jamie appears to ALWAYS be on top of stuff and have her shit together and just killing stuff all the time and so it was so refreshing and kind of humanizing to see her react toward a negative (even a very small! negative) situation.

I'm not a med student nor do I ever plan to be so this question might be really dumb... if it's your 4th year of med school, shouldn't you have some class or clinical to be doing? All of your vlogs are about interviews which I understand is important when you are at the end of med school but what is actually left of the SCHOOL part?

I'm not a medical student yet, I'm pre-med as of now, but the way medical school is set up is that there are 4 years worth of schooling. Fourth year, the year Jamie is in, is where you narrow down the specialities you enjoyed the most to see which one you wish to specialize in in the future which means you're still continuing you clinical training and then interview for those residency spots. You have more free time this year to travel, start/spend time with family, et cetera. There's still learning, of course, but it just isn't in the classroom as much. This year is kind of focused upon getting into a residency program. I don't know if this answered your question or not, and I may be missing some information but from the research I've done since I'm still learning myself, but yeah lol. I hope this helped a little.

From my understanding, first and second year of medical school involves classroom learning where you go to lectures,lab simulation, tutorial,etc. third year is all about rotation,where you have to go hospital or clinic to gain clinical experience, fourth/final year involves half rotations and application process /interview for residency.
