Watching this in 2020: "It also helps us understand what would happen if the office disappeared like it burned down or something. Could everyone work remotely? Could things still happen?" Well I guess Monzo's figured it out by now X')

I love the insightfulness and how you personalise the video with the names of the people you work with it's so much more meaningful and personal. Keep up the good work you give Monzo a good rep. I doubt many other banks would even remotely allow their employees to vlog about them on youtube... It's made me become a customer.

Kudos for not actually standing up at the stand up. The concept came out of the idea that people don't like standing so will favour brief over concise. I skipped a few steps on the last bit, but that's how it ended up. Anyway, it looks like a nice environment. Culture makes a huge difference, all my favourite roles have been in organisations with great culture.

Hey Jake, I'm just glad to see you check in so soon after your previous video - no matter whether you leave the apartment or not! Doing a short stint in Berlin sounds like a dream - I only wish I could do something similar in my job! Assuming this video isn't taking place 6 months ago, make sure you get some currywurst while you're in Berlin, and drop by the DDR museum if you have time for touristy stuff.

Hey new to your channel, I like the real content. Lucky you have a work place that’s letting you do this. I love being able to work from home. A couple of years ago when the north had really bad floods our office was basically made redundant and everyone had to work from home during repairs. It was a shock for those who always worked from the office but great that we could all pick up where we left off without too much disruption. I only recently discovered your channel, I've watched loads if your videos and keep getting ads about start ups and remote office spaces!

The guy with the wool hat made me chuckle. Interesting dress code you’ve got there. 😄
@steven_bkk5 жыл бұрын
Most places are doing away with dress codes now. I worked in a large bank in Australia and they introduced a "Dress for your day" code a few years ago. If you had no important meetings or any customer facing stuff you could wear shorts and a tshirt if you pleased. These changes are a must as conventional corporate environments move more towards tech and want to attract top tech talent out of university etc... Good Engineers are in high demand and if they have the choice between going to work for a cool tech company or be chained to a desk and wear a suite every day, what do you think they will choose? So therefore older companies are overhauling their culture to try and compete before they all die out.

Rithvik Gujjula it’s just multiple monitors. Extending the display across several physical screens. It’s old school technology these days. I can’t imagine working without at least two. (Ideally 3/4).
