Doing a steak in cast iron is super easy and just takes practice. You put it in the oven and get it super hot and then place it on the stove top put your steak in and seer it. One flip on each side then add butter pat and place back into the oven until the temperature you like to eat your steak. The cast iron makes the steak so good!!!

I'm so happy to see you all doing so well. Just a little FYI your not suppose to use a cast iron skillet on an electric stove. Fire under it is key. Open air or gas stove or grill. Just thought you might like to know. Love ya guys

Get your dry no oil cast iron skillet screaming hot, then turn down to medium low leaving the pan on the burner, add your choice of oil and your room temperature seasoned with salt and pepper only steak, sear 4 mins then turn up the heat to Med and flip steak over and add 3 tbsp of real butter and sear 4 more mins, while searing use a spoon and tilt your pan and baste steak continuously with the melted butter. Gives you the juiciest perfectly cooked steak every time. Fellowing Keto myself.
