Me too. And I LOOOOOOOVE how relatively quiet and stress-free such an extraordinarily busy, fast-paced city is. There's nowhere on Earth comparable. If you take another similarly sized sprawling metropolis, like say London, it is a TOTALLY different psychic and even physical atmosphere. There's a dirty, ugly menace and aggression in people. Very self-concerned and you can actually feel it in the psychic, communal space in the air...if that makes sense. It's the vibe of the place and not any kind of subjective bias. London is horrible in comparison to Tokyo and how the people behave.

You walk 12-23,000 steps a day here in Tokyo! The last few months we were living in Canada I had to cut down all my carbs because we drove and barely walked so that’s the ‘secret’ 🤣

Yes! So glad I clicked on this one-- you reminded me of Kuramae!! I'm fine tuning my travel itinerary and totally forgot that Kuramae was an area I wanted to explore next time round, mainly for the fermented brown rice in the health food cafe, then shopping in their adjacent grocery store. I reckon I may have entirely forgotten if I hadn't clicked on your video. There's just so much for me to remember to pin and try and organise my days around, argh. I'm sure you know the feeling. Everybody who goes to Tokyo does. THANK YOU!!! PS= I second the fluffy pancakes at Bill's!! I like the seats in the snug, dimly lit corner near the massive wall of art books. 😄

if you can absolutely recommend one area to stay at in Tokyo is it going to be ginza?

I would say Ginza because the station is easy to navigate. I would also consider shibuya but the station itself is so hectic so not a very calm atmosphere to come out of daily 😅 but good for shopping! Or the omotesando/aoyama area is nice too but I never stayed there before

I didn't love the colors on the sony, fuji was too fussy for daily vlogging and since we use canon... this was easy, has a touch screen and is relatively small to carry.. plus I like the vintage look (although not as pretty as the fuji x100v).
