To put this company in perspective in times of crazy increasing food costs this meal costs more than double the price you would pay to buy similar ingredients from the cheaper supermarkets. A meal with two standard size sausages per person some potatoes, mushroom, lardons and carrots is not worth £5+ per meal per person (including delivery which HF don't factor into the headline price per meal stated) Perhaps you could do a follow up series Mike recreate the meals buying like for like from Tesco or wherever and do a price comparison.

The sauce might have been too salty because you over reduced it. Next time try tasting it first and if it’s too salty you can always add some extra water to tone it down.

I have noticed the meat portions have been very inconsistent in their sizes. Probably due to the cost of meat going up. I would think that hello Fresh would at least maybe send a bonus/extra item to make up for the lose in meat quantity in the boxes. So far not impressed with Hello Fresh.

I hear ya! I had the rona in January and my appetite was absolutely shot. I could still taste and smell just fine, but I didn't get hungry nor did I want to eat. I had a lot of smoothies, soup, stuff that goes down easily. If you're having trouble, try smoothies. It would go down quite nicely in this heat.

Hang in there, the heat is bound to break soon! The other day we had a heat index (feels-like rating) of 43.3 C/110 F out here in South Dakota. Thankfully it was short-lived and we're down to 85-90 F highs and cooler evenings. Think of winter...! It's coming!

when looking at what you get for the money is so little. instead of pan boiling the potatoes you should use a pressure cooker to save time and money. the one piece of bacon they have browned worth at least 15p what 40p of potatoes you could just get garlic powder. even on a simple mash potato a 35p mash potato bag were you just add water if you want to save time. 25p of carrots. and even buying a bag of 8 sausage you can easy get for £1.50 but then you ask why not just buy the Iceland £1 sausage and mash and add what other items there is in this meal. may be the sauce need more water in it to be a sauce.

@@Charlene09990 I don't have milk and butter because I don't need a lot of it for my day to day life. I end up throwing most of it out, which is a waste. I buy a pint every few months or so when I get a hankering for cereal and that's about it.

Yes but the difference is your houses are built to keep the heat out while ours are built to keep the heat in and add to the fact there isn't much nighttime during the summer. The heat is also incredibly humid and very few people have air conditioning. We are not used to it and it often doesn't last long enough to be able to adapt to the temperatures.
