It's not just how much a player makes that determines if they are a good player or not, it's also what number they were drafted at. Alexandre Daigle had multiple 50 point seasons and multiple 20 seasons, if he was drafted in the second round or later or even a late first round pick, he'd be considered a good player, but because he was the first overall pick he was labeled a bust, he wasn't a bust he just wasn't as good in the NHL as they hoped for, he was a good player.

My High School hockey coach used to pull the goalie if we had an offensive zone faceoff with 5 seconds or less left in the period all the time. We would convert about 20% of the time. I always wondered why they didn't do that more in the Pros.

A take on Kyle's idea of players being involved in Awards voting: why not have 5-10 most recent winners of a given award vote for this year's winner? Could be an option, in my opinion :)

Vladar was still able to recover and reset. It was almost 5 seconds after Perry touched him before the puck was in the net. How long does a goalie need to be good to go?

@@milktobo7418 the trip had nothing to do with the call back. The league has already stated why it was and the trip has nothing to do with it. Try investigating a bit like on the SportsNet app

Perry was in there intentionally shoving his stick into both of the goalies skates. Probably should have been called goalie interference even before the goal.

Corey Perry call was a reputation call. He the worm, if it was anyone else they would’ve called it a goal, that’s how soft that was. Elliot is on glue to think that’s a good call or consistent with other calls.

It was more than that, he was 100% in the crease and he definitely prevented Vladar from getting to the top of the crease where Vladar should have been and was trying to get to because when the puck is up near the point you want to be out from the net to cut down the angles. I'm a Flames fan and also a goalie. With that said, I thought that the goal should have stood because Vladar didn't do enough to push to the top of the crease.
