This video makes me beyond happy! Bangor is my birthplace & my & my family's home. I also used to work in the University and the pier has so many memories on it. I'm glad you enjoyed your time 😍

Great film. I went to Bangor Uni back in the early 90s, and it's changed a lot, but the beautiful landscape remains the same. Lovely little city.❤️

Born and bred in Bangor, but not been back for 10 years. Recognised the LLyn Idwel and tbe Devil's kitchen as somewhere we used to go and the pier - lo g and great vjews with nothing it!. All made me homesick. The restaurants weren't on the high street when I was a kid in the 70s though!

Awesome vid, I live close to Bangor but have never been. You should try Llandudno, Abersoch, barmouth and although they are in England, Shrewsbury or Chester both amazing towns. But honestly you'd never run out of things to do in north Wales.

My home town cheers. The pronunciations were spot on apart from cwm idwal. The idwal was correct but the cwm, became kim! Yes of course hardly anyone says bangor like they should and being born in bangor it has always sounded as banger. Anyways well done with your video i enjoyed it and good luck with the rest of your travels. PS the word and the meaning of bangor is older than the welsh language its self and may i add is one of the oldest languages spoken in the whole of europe. Bangor translated is wattle fence!

Mollie , your pronunciation of Bangor is funny . I live not that far away we pronounce it Banga . You should have come to Llandudno , the queen of Welsh resorts .
@weareglobaltravellers7 жыл бұрын
Honestly... every person we asked pronounced it differently... we were BEYOND confused hahahah! hope we didn't offend anyone! :-)

Mollie Bylett Nah you nailed it!

They were actually pretty close in the pronunciation they just needed to roll the r at the end of the word Bangor. 'Banga' is just an Anglicised attempt at the place name...

Hey Mollie I have a question? I was just wondering how can foreigners can be general vendors in The U.K. by setting up table and shop outside at local tourist areas. I'm planning on going to The U.K. soon for my small art business to sell my artwork out in public to the locals and tourists? I will like to know what type of proof of documents does foreigners need to sell.

What would you expect it's a city for university only and it's surrounded with activities like zip world and snowdon, go karting in caernarfon and rock climbing, explore electric mountain in Llanberis and the Caves near Betws Y coed. All within 30 miles. Loads of stuff to do
