I finished my 7 month round of acutane recently and not going to lie the whole thing was miserable but so worth it! My immune system was pretty low the whole time and I got a few infections but now my skin is so clear and soft. Aquafor will be your BEST FRIEND when you start to hit higher dosages. I recommend using pure coconut oil as a moisturizer before bed every night to combat any dryness. It sucks for the time being but the result is so worth it. Stick it out!

i was on accutane for over six months and it was such a blessing. it dried my lips and eyes out the worst but its so nice to not have to worry about wearing creams and products on your skin every day. stick with it and dont give up even if it gets worse before it gets better its worth it in the end!!!

Fortunately i was blessed with clear skin but two of my best friends went on Accutane and had great experiences. One told me right as she was finishing it that she felt good leaving the house without foundation on for the first time since she was 13 (and we're almost 21), I am SO happy for her! They both did have a lot of trouble with dry lips and didn't want to wear lipstick ever, but said it was well worth it after

Accutane is what cleared my skin! The first couple months are definitely not fun though. When they say "worse before it gets better," they mean it. But hold our hope because it DOES work! Clear skin is the best feeling in the world! I've been on the cream accutane for a year now and my skin doesn't even resemble what it use to look like. I feel so much better about myself!

Danielle, I just got off accutane recently, my skin was absolutely HORRIBLE! But it worked wonders, and I haven't had a break out since. It does make your lips VERY dry, but what helps a lot is Vaseline, I carried it everywhere with me. If you constantly apply it your lips will stay hydrated!

I recently finished accutane! changed my skin completely-totally worth it! my biggest tip is aquaphor as a face moisturizer when your face gets super dry!! it's a life saver!

First off i love your videos and you so much!! Second I've been on accutane before and let me tell you, it was a struggle. But the struggle was worth the results! My lips and skin were so dry and it even dried out my spine so it was painful to lay down at first so I know how ya feel! Love you!!

I watched Be Somebody on Monday night, and was crying when they had to be apart!! Your vlogs are my favorite videos to watch; your life is so relatable to mine at the moment, so it makes me feel a lot better to know that you go through some of the same things. Good luck with college apps/senior year! My top schools are Clemson and Virginia Tech, right now. This is such a big time in our lives, and it can be scary at times, but it will all be so worth it 10 years down the road. :)

my boyfriend did accutane and it made his skin and lips reallyyyyy dry. but with the medicine it gets worse before it gets better so just stick with it because the results are worth it!! His skin looks sooo amazing and he never gets zits anymore!

Hey Danielle!! You mentioned you started accutane recently and I'm actually on it right now I just hit my half way mark and couldn't be happier. I know it's very hard, believe me girl I feel ya. But just try to stay as positive as possible even when you feel like it's not improving. I'm sure you will see amazing results sooner rather than later because your skin of what I can see is not as bad as mine was. It took me about 2 months to see huge results just to give you an estimate. My lips get very very dry just make sure you have lip balm with you 24/7 and you will be good. My face didn't get as dry as I thought it would but just make sure you moisturize a lot! I wish you the best of luck and I can't wait to see your progress throughout your videos. Keep up the great vids

yes omg accutane is amazing! i was on it for about 5 or 6 months and my skin is so clear now! the only zits i ever get are when im on my period, and even then they are just little tiny ones. But seriously it was the best decision ever! My experience wasn't too bad, just make sure you moisturize and always always have chapstick!! Just push through it and it will be so worth it!!
