For a person who doesn't usually watch many Westerns, I loved this film. All Good actors and a good storyline, breath-taking scenery too. Never knew Gregory Peck had even made this film so thanks to the provider for this very clear screen-vision which made it all the more enjoyable. Peck was a wonderful actor and his screen presence and voice were unique. Nice to see Joan Collins and Van Cleef too. I always feel Gregory Peck's character was there in his strong features. A film worth watching.

Just come across this, thank you so much. My poor husband is in hospital and at present I'm watching some Greg Peck movies to cheer me up. Love Greg, my husband's character and looks when young were so like Peck's. I will watch even a Western if it has Gregory Peck in. I will comment when watched. So glad I found it.

In a commentary about Frank Sinatra's funeral, Mr Peck showed up to pay respects to his old friend. You can't help admiring the man who did so many memorable films. My favorite, the Yearling was one of those you will never forget!

The scene where Peck is riding across the countryside is very reminiscent to the beginning of The Gunfighter from 1951 no doubt because Henry King directed both. Joan Collins was gorgeous at the time.

I saw this film when it came out. I never considered it that good a plot. The actors were professional, and the production values were professional. In my opinion, the best Western genre film Peck made was THE STALKING MOON. Now I'm 80 years old, yet I would again like to take a look at Joan Collins pictures in PLAYBOY magazine. C'est la vie.

I've notice every cowboy were a good sharp shooter either with guns or rifle, even in far distance. Young Joan Collins and Lee Van Cliff were in this as well and a lot more. Thoroughly enjoyed the story line. A vendetta carried out only to find it was miss placed by hate and the guilt of atrocities committed. When finding the answer to the pain was less than an hour ride away. A sorrowful happy ending.
